"They mad I decided to spend New Years with you" I shook my head "talking bout I spend every day with you"
"They mad" Mari laughed passing me the blunt
Right now we were in the hot tub just chilling at his place. The kids went to a party earlier with Lani and they were knocked out by the time they came back.
Me and Mari was going to go to a party with gang tonight but Mari didn't feel like being bothered. I really did get tired of going out, I just wanted to be laid up with my boo.
"Mannn tray ass calling me" he smacked his teeth
I chuckled and shook my head as he answered the phone.
"Mann you tripping want to stay home and shit lil baby out here"
"Fuck lil baby" he laughed

They hung up then mari looked at me and we started laughing in sinc.

"What time it is, we got to pour champagne like the white people" he said
I looked at my phone and it read '11:59'.
"We bout to miss it mari, pour the champagne" I told him before going to the counter turning on the tv
It was twenty seconds left before it was a New Year. Once he poured the champagne he gave it to me and I passed him the blunt.
