All my life, I smiled because I was taught not to show what I truly felt.

A strong woman must be unbreakable.

So I smile.

I smile even when I'm alone.

I smile, escaping the sadness of the past.

But everything changed when you came into my life.

From that day on, I found a reason to smile.

So I smile. I smiled the moment I met you.

I smile when you look at me.

I smiled the first time you kissed me.

I smile every time I think of you.

I smile when I dream of you.

I smile when you began to drift away.

I smile when you said the time we spent together meant nothing.

I'm afraid to stop smiling because if I do,

I might never be able to again.

Because when you left, you took everything I had.

But now I know that a strong woman is not afraid to show what she feels.
