No sounds could be heard, that is, except for the loud ringing which sounded through (Y/n)s ears.

She felt nothing at first.

Nothing but freezing cold, but then her feelings gradually returned, only to fill her with the most intense pain she had ever felt.

It felt as is her chest had been sliced open-

It felt as if her blood was leaving her body at an alarming rate-

She lifted her hand, the limb shaking as she touched her chest, trying to locate the pain, only to feel something warm and sticky to the touch.

She knew what it was, yet had trouble prosessing what had actually happened.

Where was she again?

Had she been attacked?

Why-

(Y/n) noticed a shadow which loomed over her head, although she did not feel threatened by it.

Who was that again?

She could swear she knew those blond locks, and why did it seem as if the person was shouting at her?

She couldn't see the person's face clearly, she couldn't even hear the words that came out of his, or her's, mouth.

Yet-

(Y/n) could suddenly locate a sound- something which sounded like singing.

Was she dying now?

She could be- as the great pain she had been feeling was suddenly soothed down to a mild sting, until she couldn't feel any pain at all.

She felt her eyes slip shut at the relief, and soon she let the darkness take over.

~~~~~
Harry felt paralysed.
He had no idea what that spell would actually do, but that-
He could do nothing but watch as (Y/n) fell to the hard tiles, blood spurting from her chest as if she had been sliced by an invisible sword.
She made no movements at all as she lied on the water-covered floor, her blood ozzing out of her opened chest before it mixed with the water and fell down the drain.
What had he done?
Had he known what that spell would actually do-
Harry staggered forwards, yet stopped as he didn't dare touch the girl he-
He watched as her hands moved up to her chest, how she touched her own blood, yet her face stayed the same, her eyes glossed over, as if she was blind.
It didn't take long before Snape bursted through the door, his cold eyes glaring at him, before they went over at Malfoy, then finally the bleeding form of (Y/n), and it was then that he moved in rushed movements.
Harry didn't know what he was doing, but as he heard something that resembled singing he noticed that the bleeding stopped.
Harry watched as the blood that pooled around the girl dissapeared, just before the wound - The one he had created- closed back up, as if it had never been there at all.
But Harry knew-
He would forever know what he had done to her-
His own girlfriend- Although, right now he was unsure if he was even allowed to call her that.
Why didn't he listen when she told him to stop?
Why did he have to follow them-
Harry didn't dare move as Snape had told him to stay put- He could only stare at the remains of the blood that dissapeared down the drain, yet to him it looked as if the ground was still splattered with red- As if (Y/n) was still lying there, gripping at her chest, gasping for air.
It felt as if time stood still.
Harry didn't know how much time had passed since Snape left with (Y/n) and Malfoy, but he knew the detentions he recieved after were well deserved.
He could've killed her-
Hadn't Snape arrived when he did-
Harry couldn't eat anything during dinner the next day, he couldn't even look at anyone.
He could hear that Hermione tried to say something, yet no words were caught as Harry could only look over at the Slytherin table, at the two empty seats- all because of him.
Harry never once dared visite the hospital wing either- How could he face her?
It felt as if every time he closed his eyes he could still see her lying on those tiles- Still see her crimson blood-
How he hadn't been expelled- he would forever be grateful, however the gratefullness would have to come later, as right now he could only feel the gnawing feeling of regret.
*****
Carefully, (Y/n) opened her eyes, only to be blinded by the bright light that surrounded her.
Had she died?
Soon, her eyes adjusted to the brightness, then showed her the walls of the hospital wing.
(Y/n) tried to sit up, but stopped as she felt pain surge through her, however it didn't last long. Startled, the girl looked down to her chest, where the pain had emerged, but strangley enough she found nothing. Yet, when she looked closer she could see a tiny red line, which looked like a scar, that went diagonally across the chest.
What had happened?
"You're awake-" (Y/n) looked to her right as a soft voice spoke, and it was then that she noticed Draco, who looked even worse than usual, sat in a chair beside the bed.
"Draco? What's going on?" She asked, her voice hoarse as if it hadn't been used in a while. (Y/n) waited patiently for an answer, however what she didn't expect was the reaction she recieved.
Draco's eyes teared up as his face scrunched in anger, however the anger subsided as his expression changed to one of sadness.
"It's all my fault..." Draco mumbled, his voice barely audible, yet (Y/n) still heard him. "When I saw Potter, I couldn't think- All I thought about was to get him away- I wanted to hurt him..."
"Harry was there?" (Y/n) asked, although it wasn't really a question as it was more like a statement, yet Draco still nodded his head.
"One of his spells hit you- I don't know, it was meant for me, but I've never heard of it..." Draco went on. "There was so much blood-"
(Y/n) looked down to the red line she had spotted earlier, now slightly remembering an intense pain, as if her chest had been sliced open-
"Where is he- Harry I mean, what happened to him?" She asked uncertainly, however Draco only scoffed.
" He's not allowed in here."
"But he's not expelled, is he?"
"No, but he should be-"
"Then so should you!" (Y/n) cut in angrily as more of her memories rushed in. "If I remember correctly, you tried to use an unforgivable curse!"
For a split second, (Y/n) was sure that Draco would snap at her, yell, call her names- yet it never came.
"I know..." He mumbled, voice low once more as he looked down in shame. "I was desperate... I didn't realise what I was doing."
"And maybe Harry was in the same situation?"
