Kya Monroe
I felt the coldness of a damp cloth on my forehead but my body was too tired to react.
A groan leaves my lips as I try to turn my body.
"Take it slow" a voice whispers
I blink my eyes open and came face to face with the most beautiful blue eyes and freckles lightly dusted on the most tanned skin. Am I in heaven?
"Fortunately no,you aren't in heaven" the voice said
"Where am I?" I asked as I tried to sit up straight,the stranger with pretty eyes rushed to aid me
"In my house" the stranger said
"I'm Davina and you?" Davina introduced herself
"I'm Kya" I said as I looked around
"Why am I here" I groaned as the light hit my eyes
"Well I was riding around and I saw you in the middle of a burning field and you fainted and I brought you here" Davina explains
Burning field?
As if my amnesia wasn't embarrassing enough,my stomach growled
Davina smiled "I made some soup,follow me"
The way she smiled,it was innocent and a little naive. Isn't she afraid that I might be a killer in disguise or something...
"I know you won't hurt me and you aren't a serial killer that much I can tell" Davina says
Why is she answering every question I have in mind? It's frustrating.
"I can read your thoughts Kya " Davina mused
Oh
"Eat up." She said as she placed a bowl of piping hot mushroom soup in front.
"If you don't mind,why were you in a burning field?" Davina asked
"I wish I knew" I mumbled
"Mm,you aren't from here are you?" She asked with a glint of amusement in her eyes
"I'm from a small village in Aerlion" I replied
"I see. Siblings?" She continued to ask
"No. Why all the questions?" I pressed
"Just getting to know you" Davina smiled
"And you wonder why I thought you were a serial killer orsomething like far more sinister" I taunted
Davina chuckles "You are quite interesting Kya"
I just stared at her before continuing to eat the nearly cold soup.
As I ate,I set rules for myself:
No friends,don't fall in love or try to be a hero: All just bring an early death
Davina softly chuckled. I looked at her with curious eyes.
"Nothing you should worry about,yet "
"Because the answers you have been searching for,you will receive soon" She declares.
