"Mr. Jeon?" Dohyun got confused and followed your gaze to see someone walking towards the both of them
"Mr. Jeon!" Same words, different emotion. Dohyun exclaimed which almost could've burst your ears but you couldn't care any less when you're fearful boss stood in front of you, shooting you his death glares
you seemed to be lost of words seeing him in front of your eyes unexpected "M-Mr-" "why on earth aren't you picking up my damn calls, Ms. Euk!" His raising voice made you stumble back
"I'm sorry, what?" Your eyes furrowed as you began to search for the device inside your bag "shoot-" you cursed at yourself under your breath reading the thousands of notification and each one said the same
missed call from CEO Jeon
"Care to explain?" He shoot daggers at you through his eyes "why are you quite now-" "come on, answer" raising an eyebrow, Jungkook scanned the male beside you.. almost as if he was judging him
"Dohyun.." you mumbled his name under your breath, being worried as you knew how much this boss of yours hated when someone butted in his conversation and what most worse is that he didn't even know who he was
"who gave you the permission to say something when I'm still talking?" Jungkook scoffed and fixed his gaze on the poor male who was just staring at him with confused eyes "I-I-" "why the hell are you stuttering? Speak properly" he commanded but Dohyun just kept his mouth shut not knowing what to say or do which pissed the other one more off
"I swear-" "Dohyun thank you for the time but I really have to go now" "you seriously cut me off- WHY THE HELL ARE YOU PUSHING ME BACK!?" he yelled as you did your best to get him and yourself out of the scene before any drama occurs
"bye.. I guess" Dohyun awkwardly scratched his nape before walking away taking a last glance at your figure struggling with the male
"Yah- how could you!" Finally getting inside you huffed out but your boss here was still yelling at you "Sir, I'm sorry for dragging you in my house like that but I had no choice" you explained making Jungkook scoff "but what made you call me so many times and also made you come at my place?" You asked, actually being curious
"The Takashi's had contacted me" Jungkook spoke up as you nodded "alright.. and sir, please have a seat while I get you something" you didn't let him to object as you had already dashed inside the kitchen
"here sir, please let me know if you need anything" you kept the glass of orange juice on the table in front of him "don't get yourself so worked up.. I'm just here to talk about work" Jungkook said "ah yes, please tell me about it" you stood still at your position, ready to hear what he had to say
"won't you sit?" he questioned as you looked away from him "no, I'm alright here" you smiled as he shook his head in disbelief "sit down" he spoke again "sir, it's okay"
no, you didn't feel uncomfortable or anything but the truth is that you felt awkward instead. yeah, it's funny but you just never stood so close to him ever
"I'm ordering you, Ms. Euk" "Sir-" you gasped when you felt a tug around your wrist and soon you were sat down on the sofa, beside him
your eyes eventually travelled down to your wrist
his hands wrapped around your wrist

that shouldn't matter, right? but it still did sent tingling sensation down your spine, butterflies flapping their wings in your stomach
why am I feeling so weird?
"Ms. Euk?" his voice made you snap out of your thoughts as your eyes went back up and got stuck in his dark brown eyes
you realized that you were loosing your focus when he took his hand back. you were about to get up "but-" "shush.." his index finger was now placed on your soft lips "I don't want no words.." you gulped slowly feeling weird sensation take over your whole body
his face was so close to yours, a few inches apart, his slender touch placed on your lips, his grasp on your wrist before
all of this made you feel weird
you blinked continuously when he leaned back and broke the unintentional eye contact he had with you for almost about a minute now in silence
he cleared his throat to clear out the awkwardness that was slowly spreading as you settled your figure on the sofa better
"We need this to be finished in one hour to send this to the Takashi's so that the project's work can go forward" Jungkook explained and looked back up at you to see you zoned out
"Ms. Euk" he called out for you but you seemed too out of place "Y/n.." he kept his hand on top of your hand which made you jump a bit and snap your head at him
"ehm.." taking his hand back, he fake coughed while looking away being embarrassed for some reason
"ah, I'm sorry for being distracted.. don't worry sir, the work will be done by time. you can head home and rest" you said but Jungkook shook his head
"I'm not going anywhere" you looked at him with your confused eyes "sorry?"
"I mean, I'll stay and help you finish it" he explained "no, it's really alright-" "I don't want any further arguments.. unless you're uncomfortable-" "no!" you slapped your mouth shut "I didn't mean to yell.." you bit your lips being embarrassed and hid your face low making Jungkook turn his face to the opposite side to suppress his small smile
"I don't want you to work as you already did so much today" you said but Jungkook denied "if you're not uncomfortable then shall we start?" he raised his brow making sigh but nod in defeat with a small smile knowing well his stubborn ass
"by the way, why didn't you pick up my calls tho?" his questioned making you look up at him dumbfounded " oh, it's just that I put it on silent as my male friend has been disturbing me-" "someone's disturbing you?" you got cut off by his sudden deep hawk voice
you noticed how his eyes had darkened a bit. it took you a few seconds till you realized "oh no, he's my best friend. he mostly annoys me by sending me useless messages and calls. nothing serious" you played with your fingers feeling small under his dangerous gaze which soon turned normal when you explained
"alright, I'll get going since the work is done" he announced before getting up from the sofa making you follow him too
you decided to walk him to the place where his car was parked as it was close to your place "drive safely, sir" you wished as he took a little glance of you before nodding
"on a second thought.." he out of the blue started making you fix your focus on him as he looked straight into your eyes before completing "I like it better when you're not so sassy but fragile around me" you gulped at that statement of his and you could swear that you had caught him secretly smirking before driving his way out of your sight
