"W-What? N-No, Ma'am-" you cut yourself when you heard her laugh out of the blue
you looked at her weirdly before shifting your eyes to her son to see that he was also confused
"Mom-" "your reaction-" she said before again laughing "it was so hilarious. I was just kidding guys. I meant that y/n is in your life as your female secretary, the second women and last after me" she explained but you still were flustered
"You shouldn't have said it like that tho" Jungkook complained "aish, forget it. Now y/n, come sit here.I wanna talk to you" you were processing when she again said "it's lunch time. I finally found someone who I can freely talk to" she stated when another voice was heard from the doorway
"So, you aren't free with me then?" Looking back, you all saw that Taehyung was standing there with an sulky expression, looking at jungkook's mother
"Ahh, Taehyung-ah~" she coo-ed before getting up and opening her arms for Taehyung to hug her "ofcourse, I'm free with you, who said I'm not?" she stated making Taehyung pull back "you, yourself" he declared making her shake her head "aish, it's other kind of free" they both laughed
"Why don't we four have lunch together, I've brought more than enough food for the four of us" she exclaimed making you four sit down to eat
"It was really nice talking to you, dear" she caressed your arm lovingly while you smiled at her "I'm glad"
It was finally, when she left. You got yourself engrossed in work and that's when you heard a knock on your office's door. Permitting the person to enter, you shifted your pupils towards the door for split second to see that it was your boss which made you straighten your posture and give your full attention to him
"Yes, sir?" You saw him scratching his temple before clearing his throat, finally looking at you "uhm.." he licked his lips as you waited for him to say what he wants to say "I'm actually here to apologize"
what now? just like your thought, your eyebrows creased being confused on what he was apologizing for "for what, sir?" you questioned "on behalf of my mother, she must've made you uncomfortable by her words" your eyes widened while you almost immediately shook your head at his statement
"Why are apologizing, sir? I didn't mind at all. Instead, I enjoyed talking with her" you explained but Jungkook still held his down face "No, it's just that.. I also don't get why she behaved like that at first? She never did so" he shrugged his shoulders, trying to understand his mother
"It's alright. maybe because she was overwhelmed having me with her in the office-" he looked at you with his brows crashed making you realize what you were saying "just maybe" you put your hands up to the both sides besides your head, as if you were surrendering yourself
which actually made Jungkook look down to the side and you swore you saw his lips going slightly upwards as a barely hearable chuckle left his mouth afterwards
He fixed his expression before looking back at you and nodding "alright then" after he turned to leave. You were stunned at your place after witnessing his pretty little smile that he had given you before making his way out
