EP XXI

Sohee looked at Jungkook shocked before finally leaving the place after making her self embarrassed

"Kook, get up. let's get you cleaned.." Taehyung held Jungkook by both of his shoulders before helping him get up. Jungkook went to the washroom to clean up while Jimin ran towards you and helped you to sit down on the sofa "wait here, I'll get the first-aid kit" he informed making you nod as he quickly rushed out of the office and soon after he came back with the box in his grasp

Jungkook was done with getting himself cleaned. his brows raised, witnessing the scene of Jimin with you

Jimin was about take your hand in his but a second hand gripped the medical box making him look up to see Jungkook looking at him with a straight face "I'll do it" Jungkook exclaimed which made Jimin nod "sure" getting up from the place he sat before, he backed away for Jungkook to sit there now

Taehyung and Jimin had exited the scene right after

Jungkook took a piece of cotton between his fingers before taking your hand in his grasp, he was about to dab the cotton against the cut on your skin until you harshly took your hand back taking him by surprise

Jungkook furrowed at the sudden stunt you pulled "give me your hand, Ms. Euk-" "No, I won't" you were quick to refuge which led him to frown more

"Don't be stubborn" "I can do that by myself" you were about to take the cotton from his hand but he took it further from your hold

"Ms. Euk-" "Stop acting like you care" you cut him off making his eyes go wide "what are you-" "don't even try to act, Mr. Jeon. a week ago we were fine but what happened now? what did I do?" you completed, looking straight at his eyes

he didn't know how to reply to that. he thought you wouldn't notice. he thought you wouldn't budge much about it

he was looking for words but what you said next made him look up at you in surprise

"I did something that night,
didn't I?"

he was dumbfounded but he snapped back to reality when he heard sobs. his head snapped towards your direction, his eyes widened when he saw tears rolling down your cheeks

"Ms, Euk, why are you crying?" you just kept sobbing "I'm not a good secretary.. ain't I? I also made you argue with your fiancée" you mumbled the last line under your breath, bringing your gaze back up at him

he furrowed but shook his head, indicating that you were wrong "what are you saying? you're really a great secretary, Ms. Euk. In fact, the best to be honest"

four months went by so easily. I was supposed to make her life hell. I was supposed to make her fired but what just happened? It was true.. I found her the best cause none of my secretary looked after me like she did. Looking after me is not the work of my secretary but.. what she did really made me admire her

Jungkook sighed as he thought to himself. you wiped your tears and looked up again but with a shaky gaze "you don't need to lie.. I know it all. I know you hate me. I shouldn't have said that during my interview. I don't know what happened to me" Jungkook eyes stared at your lips that were pouting to prevent yourself from crying

"yes, I hated you. but not anymore" he explained while you just stared at his face with your doe eyes "why were you ignoring me this whole week?" you questioned him and in between a hiccup occured making him chuckle

he leaned towards the coffee table to grab a glass of water "here, drink this" he handled you the glass as you quietly drank it

"you didn't answer my question" you stated when you noticed he was trying to dodge it "it's nothing" he avoided eye contacts with you which alerted you that he was lying "I know you're lying" you said as he faked a cough after getting caught "now, tell me. will you?" you asked again which made a sigh escape his mouth

"it's because of your boyfriend" your brows crashed together in confusion "my boyfriend?" "yes, he looked like he didn't like us being so close together which I completely understand-" "wait wait wait!" you stopped him as he looked at you

"what boyfriend are you talking about?" his face scrunched "your boyfriend-" "but I don't have a boyfriend.. I never had one!" you stated as he stared at you being dumbfounded

"what do you mean- then who is dohyun?" your eyes unknowingly rolled at the mention of that jerk's name and that didn't go unnoticed by the male who was sat beside you "he is not my boyfriend.. he's no one of mine"

"what?" he mumbled making you sigh "you should've talked to me about it before assuming" you said "you should've done the same too, don't you think?" a brow of your raised up "what do you mean?" "didn't you assume Sohee to be my fiancée?" he held a small smirk

"we're not in the same page.. she told me that she is your fiancée and dohyun-- HE DIDN'T RIGHT!?" you exclaimed making him shut his eyes

"N-no, he didn't" he answered "good that he didn't" you huffed

or else my respect for him would've dropped down low.. even tho there's none, it would've went to minus

"Now give me your hand" he held out his hand "I can do it myself-" "Ms. Euk-" he glared at you making you give him your hand

he carefully cleaned the cut before putting on a antiseptic cream on it and then put on a band-aid over it

you both were in your own world, failing to acknowledge the two pair of eyes that were admiring the both of you from crook of the slight open doors

"don't they look adorable together?" Taehyung exclaimed making the elder one shook back to reality as he took a glance up at Taehyung to see him smiling at him. Jimin held his emotion back before looking back the pair again

he wasn't able to hold back anymore. the corner of his lips rose up while his lips were pressed against each other to prevent him breaking down

but a tear drop fell from his eyes on it's own making the blonde shut his eyes tight before rushing himself out of the sight of Taehyung

Taehyung smiled as the back of his hand rubbed against his eyes to wipe the salty tears that were threatening to shred

"I know y/n will be the one to make all of this right again.."

"my heart's telling me, she will.."

also y'all didn't vote on the Confession chapter it has less than 100 votes.. y'all hated the idea of y/n confessing to Dohyun that much!? 💀 but y'all gotta be thankful to him, if it wasn't for his betrayal y/n would've never gotten drunk and that kiss between Jungkook and Y/n might've never happened 🤷
