"uh.. no-" "YAH-!" Jungkook got startled hearing you shout out of the blue "what-" "why'd you bring me here?" panic layered your voice making Jungkook stare at you in confusion
"I thought I already answered that question.." he looked at you weirdly "what's wrong?" he asked, a little worried seeing your expressions "everything is.." you buried your face in your palms "hey hey, tell me what's wrong" he tried to know but you just shook your head
"my electric bill.." you muttered "what.." he cocked an eyebrow "I've kept the lights and other electrical things on and.. they've been on the entire night!" you panicked but Jungkook's expression never changed, still looking at you weirdly but disbelief was now added
"you're seriously so worried about that?" he asked in disbelief "yes, I am, Mr. Jeon. Not everyone's rich like you to not care about money" you whispered the last part but it still made it's way to his ear
"woah, woman.. was that really necessary to say that" he scoffed but you couldn't care any less "I'll have to leave-" "wait.. you're parents must've taken care of them.." he stated but your face went pale when you heard the the specific word come out of his mouth.. parents
Jungkook's eyebrows clashed together when he noticed your facial expression suddenly draining out "my parents?" he heard your mumble
"Ms. Euk-" "I don't live.. with them" you blinked your lashes trying to fight back your emotions
he felt bad for some reason when he looked at you "I-I mean.. it's normal for adult to move out and.. not live with their parents" he tried to lessen the tension
your head moved up to see his face. tears welled up without your knowledge. you nodded, forming a sad smile "right.."
"I have to go- oh" your eyes widened a bit when you opened your phone and he didn't fail to catch your change of reaction "what?" he asked "I got message last night that.. my electricity will be off until 10 am" your gaze went up to the clock that was hung up on the wall that read 9:39 am
"great then" you looked at Jungkook with your brows raised "I mean.. there's nothing to worry about then" he avoided your gaze feeling embarrassed for some reason
"But I'll still have to leave-" "wait!" Your brows rised up again making jungkook cough "I- erm.. made hangover soup for.. you" he scratched the back of his neck as you held back a smile
"let me bring it" he excused himself before getting inside his kitchen, out of your sight. you couldn't help but to let out a little chuckle. it was your first time see him like that
"here.." he soon after came with a bowl of soup in his grasp and later put it in front of you, down on the table "you'll feel better" he gestured you towards the dish as you sat back down. picking up the spoon that is used to drink the soup, you took a spoon full and shoved it into your mouth
you couldn't help your reaction "you like it?" he asked making you snap out of your thoughts "y-yeah.. it's delicious" you complimented before continuing to drink the soup
a smile made it's way up to his lips hearing you "glad you liked it" he replied
he watched you feeding yourself but then a thought crept up into his mind 'why would you react like that at the mention of your parents?' he found himself thinking about it but later shrugged "maybe she just misses them? yeah.. that's it" he assured himself to not think any further about it
"thank you.." your voice made him pull back to reality "uhm.. so should we head to office now?" you looked at him with a dumbfounded expression "what's wrong?" he cocked an brow at you "I-I can't go to office.. like this" you looked down at yourself before bringing your gaze back on him again
"oh well.. I guess, I'll just take you to your apartment" he suggested but you were quick enough to reject him "you're already getting late, sir.. I can't afford to make you more late" you shook your head making him sigh
"It won't waste any of my time, unless you keep on arguing. now, please follow me" he exited his place, giving you no chance to speak "b-but- aish!" you then also exited to catch up with him
coming out, you saw him getting his car out and when his eyes landed on your figure, he gestured you to go to him. you sighed for the nth time before making your way up to him "sir-" he opened the door to the passenger seat making you give up and get inside his car, failing to acknowledge the slight smirk of victory that was playing on his lips
but he was quick enough to put his cold expression back on again before getting inside the car as well
the ride to your place was silent as you both didn't speak a single word through out. but nonetheless, the ride wasn't that bad. and in just 15 minutes his car was now stopped in front of your apartment building
"thank you, sir" he nodded at your words before facing his front again. you got out of his car and ran towards the building as fast as you could
you bent down when you finally reached the door of your apartment, pulling up the carpet a bit, you got the card out that would access you inside your home; yes you keep your access card under the mat
just as you laid a step inside, the fan and light came on making you look at the time on your phone
10:00
you shook your head before making your way inside your bathroom that is attached to your bedroom to freshen up
you wore your grey set of formal attire and left for office. you made your way out of the building and elevated your gaze
just to halt on your steps almost instantly when your eyes fell on the view in front of you
your boss leaning against his car.. waiting for you
