JEWEL and Landon were sitting on a bench in Mystic Falls Square as Jewel watched Landon draw. Both were unaware of the fact that there was a monster behind them.

"Come one, Jewel! I know you're better than this! I have faith in you!" Kol shouted.

Henrik and Hope spotted the two teenagers and the monster behind them. Henrik glanced at Hope before turning his eyes towards Jewel and Landon. "He's dumbed down her senses," Henrik rolled his eyes as he watched Hope use her magic to the monster flying backwards. "Why are they out here together?" he asked.

"Henrik, can you please help me fight this monster before you go all jealous boyfriend?" Hope asked as she punched the monster.

"No," Henrik scoffed as he ran over to the monster and punched it. The monster wrapped it's arms around their throats and lifted the Mikaelson twins up. "This is humilia—"

Alaric, with his crossbow, shot the monster and it let go of the twins. While the Mikaelson twins were regaining their senses, Alaric tried to use the crossbow to stop the monster, but he was unsuccessful.

Jewel looked at Landon before she pulled her earbud out. She then looked behind her and saw a monster. "Incendia!" she chanted as she jumped over the bench.

"I knew I could count on you!" Kol yelled.

"Hey, Jewel!" Landon shouted after her.

"New theory. Cyclops," Alaric grunted before he looked at his niece. "What are you doing out here?"

"Why are you fighting a monster?" Jewel narrowed her eyes at him.

Henrik shook his head at the interaction as he bent down to pick up the crossbow and shoot the cyclops in the eye causing it to fall over dead and go up in embers. "Way to end a night." he chuckled.

"Jewel!" Landon called out to her once he finally caught up to her. "You took off, I was wondering if you were okay."

"Yeah, I'm fine. We should probably get back to the school." Jewel nodded.
