The sound of telephones blaring could be heard throughout the oddly lightened hospital as a young man named Ben sat along with his friends awaiting news for their sickly friend Kenley. "Dude we shouldn't have pushed him" Mason,the pacing man inches away said as he began to shake. Seconds later the door slammed open and the doctor came swarming in with a vacant look on their face as she signaled for the next patient to be wheeled into the emergency room. "What the Fuck?!" Nick, another group member shouted a few moments later as a shouting bloodied woman can be seen being wheeled into the room. "Woah I hope she's good." Alexa, the only woman in the group said softly as she looked around trying to take her mind off the horror she just witnessed. Nate the quiet mysterious man who got to know Kenley the most out of anyone in the group horrified by the thought of his friend dying alone on a hospital bed, he began speaking hysterically while looking down at his shoes which were covered in vomit. This behavior alerted one of the nurses who rushed quickly over and began analyzing him. "sir are you alright would you like some waters" the nurse said calmly as she looked closely at his eyeballs. "I'm fine I just need sleep" Nate said quickly as he gave a fake smile. "Ok Honey if you need anything I'm right over here." the odd nurse said as Nate nodded and watched as she awkwardly walked back to her desk. "Something doesn't feel right you guys." Nate said calmly as he continued to look at his shoes.
"I agree everyone's been weird all day we need to find out what's going on with Kenley." Ben said as he he stood up and walked over to the nurses desk to find that the receptionist was tending a hidden scratch on her arm until she was seen quickly covering it up with her shirt sleeve. "How can I help you" she said quickly as she let out a forced smile which the group picked up quickly increasing the group's suspicions even more. "Uh well do you know what's going on with our friend Kenley? we're really worried about him." Ben asked the lady who gave a quick face of annoyance as she quickly turned her face to a smile. "I cannot disclose that information sir please be seated back in the waiting room your friend shouldn't be much longer." the receptionist said as she shooed Ben back to the waiting room and quickly began typing quickly on the desktop in front of her. A couple minutes later a doctor came storming out and quickly approached the group. "Who's responsible for patient 09" he asked quickly as he looked nervously at the group. Each member began to look at each other in worry until ben quickly jumped up out of his seat almost immediately. "I technically am" he yelled as he began to shake. "Look kid I'm just going to give it to you straight! Something is off with Your friend's body! Here allow me to elaborate." The doctor said as he quickly sprinted behind the receptionist desk eventually grabbing an old chalkboard,Quickly erasing what was on it as he began writing on it. "So we noticed that your friend's cells instead of dying they just revive themselves
which is a rare sight meaning he could save so
many lives all I need are your signature to sign
off on so the project could start. "B..." Ben said as he was cut off by nick who quickly jumped up in anger. "So you think we're just going to let you guys experiment on Kenley what the hell is wrong with you people, come on ben you know this doesn't sound right!"Nick yelled as he got in the doctor's face. "For once I agree with him we can't let them do this to Kenley it's cruel but nick i think you should calm down and just breathe! we don't want a problem we just want want what's best for Kenley." Alexa said calmly as she injected herself in between nick and the doctor eventually pushing nick back. "Look you could be doing so much good for the world, saving lives take sacrifices." The doctor said as nick pushed Alexa out the way and quickly sped over to the doctor swinging a strong right hook. It felt like everything was in slow motion as nick's fist connected with the side of the doctor's face. "Nick what the hell why can't we ever go anywhere without you doing something rash?!" Ben yelled as nick's face changed from a look of anger into a look of confusion as he finally realized what he did in his moment of anger. "Sir we're so sorry! he was just..." mason said as the doctor cut him off with a loud scream. "Jackie get me security right now I want these punks out of my hospital RIGHT NOW!!" The doctor screamed as he looked back at the empty receptionist desk still holding his face. "Look sir,nick doesn't think somet..." Ben said as the doctor quickly cut him off and began to slowly walk backwards towards the receptionist desk. "I don't care! I want you out right now!" The doctor yelled as he got closer and closer to the desk. "Didn't I say get me securi...Jackie? Are you ok?!" The doctor asked as he reached the desk to see the receptionist passed out on the ground behind the desk. He then grabbed a telephone and in panic began dialing numbers. "Security I need a group escorted out the building and I'm going to need patient 09 discharged immediately and banned from the abe Lincoln memorial hospital permanently!" He yelled as he looked nick in his eyes while he spoke into the phone. "Come on that's not necessary I understand that nick punched you but why are you discharging Kenley?" Alexa asked as she she looked at the doctor who, still on the phone began shaking. "Because I said so! Your lucky I don't press charges on your little friend over there!" He said as he pointed at nick who was quickly held back by nate who continued to stay quiet. "Is that woman okay?" mason asked as the doctor looked at her body and quickly back at the group. "she's fine but what I said earlier still applies I want you out by the time security gets here!" The doctor yelled as mason stood up quickly, the thought of the young women dying on the floor cluttered his mind causing him to sprint quickly towards the phone eventually snatching it from the doctor who tried his best to yank it away from the quick young adult but was unsuccessful. "Help! Please! One of your receptionist have passed out in the lobby behind her Desk send.." mason yelled into the phone as the doctor shoved him to the floor which triggered Nate to let go of nick who sprung towards the man at full force. "Nick stop!" Alexa yelled but her loud voice couldn't reach nick in time as he was already on top of the doctor. He began to deliver heavy blows to the doctors head causing him to go unconscious; Ben then tackled nick to the ground yelling the word stupid over and over into his friends ear. "Is he dead?" Mason asked as Nate ignored him and walk over to the door where he stopped, eventually letting out a sigh as he looked outside through the cold glass of the hospital door. People could be seen running through the streets. "What the hell is going on?" Nate whispered to himself as he stood there frozen as if he saw something horrific. "Nate are you good?" Mason asked as Nate quickly snapped around. "We need to go something is wrong!"nate yelled as security guards came running down a hallway. Their friend Kenley could be seen opening up the operating room door to see Ben chocking out nick. "Ben what are you doing stop!" Kenley yelled as the room got quiet. "Ken?" Ben squeaked as tears came pouring out of his eyes. Nick began to tap out in submission but in the state of shock by the sight of his sickly friend standing before him left him blind to the submission. "Stop right there!" A Guard yelled as he and his comrades dashed toward the group. "Let go of him! We need to go!" Mason yelled as he yanked Ben off of nick which snapped both men back to the reality of the situation. Ben then helped nick to his feet giving him a look of guilt; he then ran over to Kenley who gave a confused look as he was thrown on the shoulders of Ben. "What is happening!?" Ken asked as the group ran out the hospital and down the street towards the parking garage. "Hey stop!" A gaurd yelled as the group slipped away in the crowd of people walking through the chaotic city streets. After a few minutes of running the group finally reached their two cars which were parked in an empty dark parking space. "I'll meet you back at the clubhouse I need to check on Angie" Nate said quietly as he jumped into one of the cars. "Forcing us to squeeze in the other car I see" mason said jokingly as he smirked at nate which In a way made him feel a bit better. "I'll be back as soon as I get her." Nate said as he drove off quickly;The group stood there for a few moments to process everything that just happened. A few minutes past and nate could be seen driving into a grocery store parking lot full of people. He then opened the glovebox to reveal a pistol. "Please be okay." Nate said to himself as he put the pistol in his hoodie pocket. He cautiously walked in the stores to see people looting and fighting in the store. "Angie!" Nate yelled as he ran towards the pharmacy side; as he was running he saw a man bashing what looked like a teenager's head into the edge of a store shelf over a can of corn; he then reached the pharmacy where a lady in a lab coat could be seen cowering in a corner. "Excuse me lady is Angie here!?" Nate asked aggressively as his hand slipped into his jacket pocket. "No she's off today but sir can you please call my mom some lady just bit..." the girl asked as she realized nate had already began walking away from her. Screams could be heard as people began running away from the middle of the store Nate then out of curiosity decided to check it out until he was interrupted by a voice. "Nate? Hey have you seen my brother?" The voice asked as Chloe, Mason's adopted little sister could be seen standing there. "Wait? Chloe? Why are you here you need to go home it's not safe! Something isn't right!" Nate said as he continued walking towards the center of the store where he eventually arrived to see a blood trail at which he began to follow it until he saw the teenage boy from earlier standing vacantly letting out growls as he showed no personality. "Kid are you okay you took a serious blow to the head maybe you should sit down." Nate said calmly as he began approaching the kid pulling his pistol out for in case it was a trap. The boy then turned around and sprung at nate eventually grabbing him causing everything Nate saw to turn red and he completely blacked out until he was snapped out of it by Chloe who was yelling at Nate. "Nate they're dead stop dude we need to fucking go!" Chloe yelled as Nate looked around to see himself surrounded by bodies. "What the hell happened? He thought to himself as a lady came running out. "Please don't shoot im just trying to feed my bab..." she yelled out as a bullet pierced her skull causing her to collapse to the ground. Chloe then looked over to see Nate aiming his pistol In the direction of the lady. "Nate..give me the gun" Chloe said calmly as Nate carefully handed her the pistol. She then put it in her backpack and walked over to the lady to see in her horror a baby sitting in a car seat crying. "Nate you fucked up..." she said as she picked up the car seat to show Nate who showed no interest. "Leave it and come on." Nate said as he started walking towards the entrance. "It's a girl... wait Nate you didn't really mean that did you? come on can we at least try to find family instead of leaving a newborn baby to fend off these looters if more comes." Chloe let out as she followed nate who quietly nodded his head in agreement while she still held the car seat. After a few minutes of walking the pair get to Nate's car where they strapped up the car seat and the both climbed in. "Before I pulled off tell me why your here!" Nate asked as he looked intensely at her. "Our parents never came back last night.. I can't get through to them but it's fine! as you can see I'm doing fine on my own." Chloe said as she opened up her bookbag to reveal a bunch of canned goods. Nate nodded then turned the car on. "Holy shit I almost forgot! Here's your pistol back." She then said as Nate pushed it away. "No keep it, your gonna need protection until this all blows over." Nate said as he pulled a pistol clip that was tapped on the ceiling of the car and placed it in her still opened bag. The duo then drove off towards Chloe's house where they eventually pulled up. "Hey you sure you don't want to come back to the clubhouse?" Nate asked as Chloe smiled "no I have to wait here for my parents but you have to get our little friend here back safely from all these crazy people" Chloe answered as nate looked back at the baby and back on her. "Wait your leaving it? Where the hell am I supposed to take it?" Nate asked ask as Chloe shrugged and quickly got out. Nate waited a couple minutes after Chloe went into the house to assure her safety before he drove off. He tried his hardest not to look at the baby as he drove back to the clubhouse.

A Few days later
Ben could be seen talking on the phone until he is signaled by mason. "Alright mom I gotta go, yes I'll be safe! Ok bye." He said as he hung up the phone. "Hey everyone is out there waiting." Mason said as he smiled. "Is Nate ok ik he hasn't left the shack out back at all since he came back that day so whatever he seen yesterday must've been really bad."Ben said as he looked down. "I promise you once quarantine is over he'll feel a lot better." mason said happily as Ben nodded and walked towards the tv; he then smirked And turned it off. "Let's get this meeting over with" Ben said as he lead mason out back.
