Aditya's pov
" Here , you can wear this for a while , if you want " I said as I handed her my overcoat , she was soaked wet , her body shivering and trembling so I decided to give my coat to her , she looked at me for a good one minute , maybe trying to read my expression , when she saw that I was serious , she nodded and took the coat from my hands and wore it , almost more than half of her body covered with my coat , she was looking so tiny with my coat on her frame
Her small frame wrapped in my overcoat , made her seem even more vulnerable and tiny
As I watched her, I couldn't help but notice how the coat engulfed her petite figure , The sleeves were far too long for her arms ,
She turned to me as her eyes expressing gratitude that words couldn't convey , I knew she wanted to say thank you but couldn't be able to , It was as if a weight had been lifted off her shoulders , both literally and metaphorically , her shiny eyes roamed around while holding the umbrella on her head
" Chalein ? " ( Shall we go ) I asked as I waited for an answer , she nodded and we started walking towards the car , we opened the door and sat inside , the surrounding was so quiet , She was looking towards the window , I noticed her not wearing her seatbelt , I cleared my throat and she looked at me , Her eyes met mine , trying to read my face
" Seatbelt " I gestured and she looked down and realized her seatbelt was unlocked
As she clicked the seatbelt in place , Even in the midst of a chaotic and uncertain situation her face held a sense of calmness but her eyes telling a very different story , she was thinking about something else , I could sense that , I looked at her one last time before shifting my focus towards the Road , I didn't want to invade her privacy so decided to not ask her any questions
We drove in silence , the only sound being heard was the car's engine. I glanced at her occasionally, noticing how she seemed lost in her thoughts , I wondered what was going through her mind - was she still processing the event that had just taken place a while ago ? Or anything else ?
" Mr Rathore ? " I heard her say lowly , her eyes scanning my features , I could sense that
" Hmm ? " I hummed as I waited for her to say something
"Thank you for the coat " She said and glanced at me for a second before turning her head back to the window
" It's Alright , no need to thank me " I simply said as I sensed her moving her head towards my direction
She nodded and started looking outside the window , I kept my focus on the road as the rain was still not going to stop anytime soon
For the rest of the drive we didn't talk , What happened to her ? A while ago she was talking non - stop making me exasperated but now... She was not even talking even a bit , Is she fed up Irritating me or what !!? , actually it was very new of her to not make any silly mistakes or Irritating me which she always likes to do
" Whatever " I thought in my head and kept my focus ahead , the streets were glistening with wetness , the sky was dark , thunderstorm and lightening still going on , After an hour , we managed to reach the palace , by the time we reached the rain almost stopped partly
As I pulled up , Dr Suhani opened the door and went outside , I turned off the engine and locking the car after stepping out
" Dr Suhani ? " I called her and she stopped , turned around and looked at me
