23. Invisible

Invisible like a ghost
Always overlooked and forgotten
To me, no one raises a toast
In the basket, I am an apple rotten

I stay still
The world moves on
Insignificant my will
Like a mere pawn

I stop talking mid-word
They continue unaffected
My cries have never been heard
By even God, I am dejected

Never felt care
I doubt the day will come
Life has never been fair
It stabs until you become numb

Alone I lurk in the shadows
Craving attention and love
I am like a withering rose
The first thought is to dispose of

They see right through me
I feel invisible all the damn time
A part of me scoffs - Let it be
Then numbs the pain in vain with a rhyme

I feel as Invisible as God
Who exists only when you need
It's like poking my heart with a rod
Then turn a blind eye as I bleed

Am I really this pathetic?
Or just have a doomed fate?
I might appeal as poetic
But for them, it's not appropriate

I cry alone
Scream in the quiet
Cuts me to the bone
This inner riot

I weep in solitude
Gather myself on my own
My heart, I elude
Abandoned is my tombstone

Still can't give up on hope
Of finding someone who cares
Though very low is the scope
It's enough to survive these nightmares

Of me, love-starved
Taking my last breath
My name carved
Only after my death

To change my state
I am doing everything I can
But affects I fail to create
I will always be the most invisible man

Hey there, depressed souls! Barely made it on time but I hope you all like it. It was kind of a dark poem with a lack of motivation but it kind of is what it is now.

ALSO, my entry for the contest Mythical Mirror is out in my previous poem collection titled 'Medusa'. I am pretty proud of that one. Do check it out and let me know your views on it. Fingers crossed for the contest.

Vote, Comment and Share the poem to support me, and man, I really need it nowadays, going low on motivation, you see.

See you Soon!
