32. Mirror On The Wall

Oh mirror on the wall
Watching me gather my broken pieces
Tell me am I strong at all?
Or a graceless being among masterpieces

I watch myself as I come undone
My demons, I fail to outrun
Watch alone, as disappears the last ray of sun

Leaving me alone in the dark
Surviving isn't a walk in the park
My yell for help is just a pointless remark

Oh mirror on the wall
I only have my reflection by my side
It watches silently my every fall
Doesn't laugh as I swallow my pride

I weep so loud yet no one hears
Holding tight, I swallow my tears
As every single spec of hope disappears

Eyes red and puffy from crying
Body shaking with efforts of trying
Turning cold hearted as the tears are drying

Oh mirror on the wall
Tell me am I a warrior or a fool?
Towards light, do I crawl?
Or submit to the darkness that's cruel?

You are bedecked with jewels and I with flaws
You are the problem's solution and I the cause
You live in the present while I see the helpless girl I always was

I see a broken girl trapped inside you
An unhealed child that's concealed from view
Who is way too broken to heal or breakthrough

Oh mirror on the wall
Why do you show me my weak side?
My past, I have no intention to recall
So, I will again push my inner unhealed child aside

Hey there, I know I have not been very regular in the recent past BUT in my defense, PREBOARDS! Anyway, I almost missed this update as well even when my preboards are over because I was just way too emotional due to farewell and stuff. Like, DAMN, I am not ready to leave school, I AM JUST A FLIPPING GIRL RIGHT NOW!?

As many of you would guess, when I feel strongly, I write poems. I tried writing a poem about this as well but it was a rather doomed attempt and the last shred of my dignity didn't allow me to continue it past seven lines.

Luckily for you and me, I found this poem from the sea of poems on my laptop. So, I didn't miss the update.
