Now leaving the grand mansion of Mrs. Harrison finishing school for young girls, y/n was feeling a mix of emotions. One of satisfaction that she had found her friend and one of slight and controllable anger because that said friend was stuck in that... interesting place?

"I suggest this is where we part ways." A deep voice uttered these words, startling her as she wasn't expecting them to come out so suddenly.

The woman cursed under her breath before turning around, her e/c meeting bright blue eyes. "I... Suppose it is."

The man let out a small hum and a nod, his eyes looking around the scenery before them as they walked towards the road. He seemed to be lost in his thoughts as if he was preoccupied with something

The silence between them was, surprisingly, not as uncomfortable as it was before. Yes, there was still that little sentiment of regret and a tad of compassion but something new seemed to have grown over the few days.

"Are you taking a carriage?" Asked Sherlock when they reached the main road.

"Well I have to get home so..." Trailed off y/n, increasing the awkwardness of the moment.

"Do you mind if we...?"

"Not at all."

Their eyes never met as they stood tall side by side, talking with small words and unfinished sentences. It was as if being next to each other, now that everything was over, their bodies had become stiff as a mature tree.

A few minutes later, them being more interminable than the other, they were now facing each other into a carriage that was heading towards London. The silence was so thick that anyone would've managed to cut it with scissors if it was physically present.

"Where are you heading after this?" Sherlock was trying to make a conversation

"Home... I have a few things to do." Answered the woman, her eyes peering at the landscape from the window.

"A performance to prepare, yes."

Y/n frowned in confusion. "How did you-" What was she thinking, she was talking to Sherlock Holmes. And he had been in her house. Perhaps he saw the small tickets on the coffee table. "Nevermind."

Silence... Again.

"And Eudoria?" Asked y/n.

"What of her?"

"Well... Are going to find her or...."

"Or?"

"Will you say the 'vivre et laisser vivre' proverb?"

"Live and let live?"

"Yes!" Blurted out y/n loudly as she couldn't remember the translation. "That thing..." She said more calmly.

He nodded at her question, his striking blue eyes pondering his options.

"I will, I presume."

"Good..."

"Yeah..."

Silence... AGAIN.

A few minutes later, they were out of the carriage standing on the sidewalk of busy London. Their eyes met as the silence between them persisted in contrast to all the noise around them. Sherlock cleared his throat, looking away while y/n did the same.

"Well, goodbye." She said before parting ways, leaving the detective standing still, his eyes on her moving form.
