3rd POV (New Orleans, Louisiana)
The Tennysons are at a guided tour of a museum. While Ben is messing around with the masks on display, the guide talks.
"...And behind this impenetrable glass is the recently discovered, and only known existing copy of the 'Archamada Book of Spells'." the Tour Guide explained.
"It contains ancient witchcraft and rituals from the later sixteen hundreds." the Tour Guide and Gwen say in unison.
"Maybe you should work here, dear." the Tor Guide suggested snidely.
"Don't let 'mummy-face' get to you, she's probably older than that spellbook." Ben joked.
He imitates a mummy's pose and facial expression in their tomb. Gwen and Jen laughed. The lighthearted moment is broken when rumbling begins. Everyone in the room soon lifting to the ceiling, seemingly magically.
"Something tells me that floating on the ceiling isn't on the tour." Jen states.
Through the skylight window, a puff of red smoke travels through the air and reaches the book of spells. It materialis into a man with grey skin wearing a red rob and black pants. His face is painted black and white to resemble a skull. This is Hex.
"The Archamada book of Spells... All of its power shall soon be mine!" Hex declared.
He makes an incantation. The second right-most charm glowing yellow, activating as he speaks. The class encasement around the book shatters.
The book levitates off the podium into his hands. Ben twists the Omnitrix dial to transform, but Hex uses his staff to end the levitation. Everyone in the room dropped to the floor. They all scream as they're falling. Ben quickly transforms into XLR8, rushing down and manoeuvring a tapestry to act as a soft landing for the tour.
"Everyone out!" XLR8 yelled. Everyone ran out of the museum.
"MaxBen, be careful. You don't know what tricks he's got up his sleeve." Grandpa Max warned. XLR8 turns to face Hex, his visor dropping overhead.
"Dude. You want a book, try the library." XLR8 sassed.
Hex stands facing XLR8 as his 2nd Charm activates. He holds up his staff and recites an incantation. Flames erupt from the staff, setting the tapestry alight.
As XLR8 runs up walls to avoid the flames, shards of red crystals fire out from the staff. It also shoots a blinding light at XLR8 as he's in the midst of charging Hex, causing him to slip and crash into display cabinets. Grandpa, Gwen, and Jen throw multiple bins at back of Hex's head. Hex turns to them.
"Guess we got his attention..." Gwen states.
"Kind of wish we hadn't." said Jen.
Hex uses telekinesis to knock Grandpa Max, Jen, and Gwen back. As he turns to deal with XLR8, he's met with an onslaught of punches. His centre charm is tossed across the room in the fray. soon later Hex is on the ground reeling from the attack.
"Nice job!" Grandpa Max praised. XLR8 picks up a charm as a souvenir.
"Just doing with I need to do and keeping it low-key." XLR8 states.
He stands in front of cameras and a crowd cheering. XLR8 milks the attention of the crowd, much to Gwen and Jen's dismay. Hex gets carted away. The Rust Bucket driving along, as Ben's putting away his trophy along with his other souvenirs.
"All I'm saying is that you didn't exactly stop that maniac all by yourself today? Gwen and I helped save your sorry butt, but does anybody notice us?" Jen points out.
