Matt's POV

During the busy weekends, Hailey and I were growing closer more than ever. But the first Sunday, after I left for Miami Hailey had to agree to see Hunter.

Flashback

Hailey's POV

I had just saw Matt off at the sirport, I received a call from my father….

“Hello Hailey, where are you?” My father says, I had a bluetooth my phone in the car.

“Father, i'm leaving the airport. I just saw Matt off to Miami.” Father clears my throat,

“Hailey, Hunter  is looking  for you.  Meet him at Texas Roadhouse,” I shake my head ,

“Alright father, i'm driving can you call him? Let him know that i'll meet him there.” My father sighs,

“I'll call him. Go straight there. He's closer than you are. Please give him a chance.” I chuckle at his words,

“if you'll give Matt a chance as well. Plus we'll see in the end.” I chime in cheerfully, I continue to pay attention.

“Alright, you're working with and dating him aren't you?” I had to smile to myself,

“Yes, and that makes me happy.. Talk to you later.”

We hang up, and I continue to head towards Texas Roadhouse. After twenty minutes, I arrive there. I saw Hunter waiting for me by the entrance. I wasn't nervous about seeing him. I parked my car, walking towards the restraunt.

“Hunter, good to see you. Though I had another word rumble with Cortney a few days ago.” Hunter chuckles at me, as he gives me a hug. We walk into the restraunt,  where a hostess takes us to a seat. After we order our food the appetizers  had arrived. So I thought it was a good time to bring up our relationship.

“Hailey, I know that Courtney has been bullying you. But be careful she may go after Matt. She's in Flordia in Miami, her father has meeting there.” I nodded, with a smile I say.

“Thanks for the heads up. i'll let him know . I really  don't think he'll fall for a girl like her.” Hunter has a serious expression,

“See i've dated Courtney off and on since freshman year. She seems to act like she owns me.  I never know what she's going to do.” Hailey seems to be studying  me,

“What are you thinking, Hailey?”  Hunter asks softly, he tries to reach for my hand but I pull away.

“I don't mind being your friend. But I love Matt. I hope you can understand.”

 Hunter gives me  a rueful smile, as the waitress brings us our meal. We took a few minutes to just eat, as we were finishing up Hunter starts talking again. I look at him in interest.

“Hailey, you may see me as a friend now, let's see how things develop. Alright?”  Hunter states in earnest pleading,

“I see what you're saying… I just can't make any promises. Can you agree to that?” I ask plainly, as we finish the conversation. Hunter gives me a warm smile,

“Yes, Hailry, I can do that. i'm a patient man. We're young now, there's time.” With that we got up and went outside, a quick hug we parted to our own cars. I was glad  this time was over.
