They sat at the bench of their school yard, placed under the large blossom tree. For the next few seconds, Jimin merely played with the falling petals, hearing the soft rustling sounds of the bush.

"How are you feeling now?" Taehyung asked as he handed him a cold cane of fresh strawberry drink, while to relaxed himself, he preferred to smoke.

"I'm sorry" Jimin apologized, he didn't know the reason of being apologetic but he felt pressing by the burden of guilt and ashamed.

"Why you're sorry?" Taehyung asked, inhaling the smoke.

"I messed up" Said Jimin.

"No you don't" Taehyung answered.

They sat in silence for next few seconds, Jimin taking sips of his drink and Taehyung smoking his cigarette, the ambiance seemed soothing now.

Jimin had nothing to say, he felt ashamed on him, reading his embarrassment, Taehyung preferred to break the awkwardness.

"Why did you intentionally provoke them when you get panicked after witnessing violence?" Taehyung asked, exhaling a cloud of smoke.

Jimin suddenly looked up, bewildered by being exposed, he shifted his widened eyes on Taehyung, "How do you know?" He asked.

"Isn't clear?" Taehyung replied.

Jimin looked again at the grassy floor, "Mm....Yeah....it was,"

"You didn't answer my question" Taehyung said, gazing at Jimin, looking fragile, smaller than he usually does, too soft to fight back, as if he is a little kid who couldn't fight with the monsters lurking around him.

Unwillingly, Taehyung grew an urge in his heart, to protect such vulnerable being sitting beside him, pretending naive after provoking the monstrous Yuhan, and messing up the situation.

And now when Taehyung thought about the situation, he found it funny, Jimin wasn't merely a vulnerable human but also an ridiculously dumb. Suppressing his smile Taehyung waited for Jimin to speak.

"I...I needed to check if you would help me or not" Jimin said exhaling a long breath, he stretched his legs and looked up at the sky, "But you're good as I had assumed" he added.

A little curve of smile appeared on Taehyung's lips, "What else you assumed about me?" He asked as it was fun to chat with Jimin.

"That all the rumors are wrong and you're soft at heart" Jimin said, he squeezed his eyes and let the fresh breeze caressed his face. He felt relaxed now, Taehyung's presence diverted his attention back to the reality and he felt protective.

Taehyung gazed at Jimin, his eyes twinkling with tears, he didn't know if Jimin was honest with him or playing any trick, but he felt as if his burden lifted a bit.

For the first time in last two years, Taehyung heard something he urged, his heart ached, but he successfully concealed his feelings with his expression less face.

"You're good at mustering up people" Taehyung said, he just wanted to assure if Jimin believed on the fact he claimed about him, or he just wanted to gain some sympathy.

Jimin opened his eyes and glanced at Taehyung, their eyes locked and Taehyung somehow, found the honesty.

"I'm not mustering you, I won't change my thoughts even if you deny to help me" Said Jimin, his voice filled with desperation.

"I'll think about it" Taehyung said, suppressing his smirk.

"About what?" Jimin asked.

"About helping you" Taehyung replied.

"Why don't we make a deal" Jimin suggested, excitedly he rose up and stood before Taehyung, "Help me and I'll make you notes" He said, shaking his brows.

Taehyung threw his cigarette as he finished it, he chuckled softly, "I told you I'll think about it" he teased, rising up from the bench, Taehyung turned to leave.

"Tell me now" Jimin pouted, he followed Taehyung and hopped in front of him, "Say you gonna help me" he insisted, pointing his finger.

Taehyung furrowed his brows, "Are you threatening me" He said.

"No...." Jimin denied, "Ah... I'll ask my parents to offer you free chicken at our restaurant, every week" He offered.

Taehyung nodded, " Hmm" he narrowed his gaze, "Only Sunday?" He continued to teased.

"No, daily" Jimin said.

"Okay" Taehyung replied.

Jimin exhaled a long breath of satisfaction, then he jumped on his feet, clenched his fists tightly and shook them in fastly, "Now I don't need to hide from that jerk" he said.

"Why did you hide?" Taehyung asked, as they both beagn to head back to thier class.

"Junseok and his friends bullied me" Jimin informed solemnly, "And they asked me to meet after the school...but I'm not worried at all since I have my freind" He said, wrapping his hands around Taehyung's arm.

Taehyung never allowed someone to get closer to him, he hated when someone would touch him, but he felt something different with Jimin, there was no hesitation between them as they walked side by side.
