"Mom? Where are you?" I yell, my voice booming through the house. Ariana was still bouncing in my arms as I ran frantically throught the house, looking for my mom. Usually when I come home, she's either in the kitchen with Ariana, or she's on the couch watching baby shows, as Ariana laughs. I run into my room, and I find a note on my bed. It says:
It's for the best love, -Mom
So my mother just left me here? She left me with a baby to take care of all by myself? I fall on my knees break down, and cry. I start sobbing in my knees, and then Justin comes in and finds me. He takes Ariana out of my arms, grabs my hand, and then we both sit on the bed together. "So she's gone forever?" he asks. "Yeah, she never really seemed to care about me anyways." I cry. "You can stay with me for a while if you want to." he suggests. "Eight people is enough for your family. As long as I keep my job, I can pay for everything." I sniffle. "I wish she hadn't done that." he says. "Now I'm the single mother, having to take care of Ariana, like my mother." I say. "You always were taking care of her." he tells me. "I know, but it just felt like I had the support of my mother, and now I have no one except you." I say. "You will always have me." He says, kissing me. "Swear?" I ask. "I swear." he says, as I bury my head in his chest. "I love you." he whispers, kissing my head.
