Recap of Chapter 4: Ace and Seth encountered the aurora caster, Whom had Alex and Kaleb in custody. Realizing that Alex and Seth knew each other, Ace limited her to two options; become a kakyumi or rot in prison. He gave her until 1700 hours to decide, while also leaving Seth in her hands for the day. She carried him to a store, leaving her brother with the task of packing up some supplies at home. After a wardrobe change, Seth and Alex discovered that the store manager was keeping an ominous necklace that harmed anyone who wears. In a moment of curiosity Seth put on the necklace and ended up bonding with it. His Tattoos glowed, the necklace turned red, it can summon a sword, and also some kind of hovering board. Alex explained to him that the words projecting from the necklace was alchemy and that only those with human blood can manipulate such objects. What will Alex do now that she know Seth is half human? Find out on this chapter of "CASTERS".

After confessing that my dad is a caster and my mom is a human, Alex looked around hastily then took my hand and rushed me through the streets. She claimed that it's not safe to speak about this in the open.

We entered a sort of 'antique store', Alex called it. She rushed me pass a lady and into a backroom. Within the room there was a staircase leading up, but that's not where we were headed. She removed a rug and opened up the floor to a staircase leading down. It was made out of steel and you can see through parts of it. I was in disbelief, and in fear of where she was taking me.

"Come on." She said walking into it. I stood at the top, hesitant to move. "Don't worry, I'm not luring you into any danger. This is my home. This is where I live."

I entered the staircase and closed the top when I was low enough. When I got to the bottom of the stairs, I found myself in a basement. It's just as big as the store, and the iron stairs was at the center of the room. Inside were two beds positioned near each other, a line of tables holding chemical compounds, and a corner filled with books stacked upon one another.

"We can speak safely down here." She told me.

"Alex?" I heard the voice of her brother, Kaleb. He appeared from the other side of the stairs dragging a huge bag. "Everything is packed up. I left your books over there so you can carry them personally." He informed her.

"What about your equipment?" She wondered.

"It's fine. I can stock up on others when we settle somewhere else." He replied. "I've already saved the formulas I need on paper and in my head. Recreating them will be a piece of cake." He lifted his arm up then slide his long sleeve shirt up his arm, revealing a dark green projector watch. He pressed a few buttons on it releasing some kind of scanner from the watch. It turned the bag of items into pixel and absorbed it into the watch.

"Amazing." I said beneath my breath. They both looked at me. Kaleb smiled, examining my clothes.

"Nice outfit. Whoa and that necklace!" His eyes widened.

"That's what we're here to talk about." She said.

Although I didn't want her to tell him, she insisted in doing so anyway. I've never even had a conversation with the guy so my skepticism is understandable. She claims to have a trusting relationship with him. That means whatever she knew about me before, he already knows.

We moved over to the beds. Alex and I sat on one bed and Kaleb sat across from us in the other. She began explaining all of the events that took place today. Every time he glanced over at me, I knew that there was something surprising to him. In a short moment, she'd fully caught him up to where we left off.
