chapter 10 ( back on Berk)

hiccups POV

I ran through the trees running hard like the speed stingers taught me. it was really hard coming back to Berk, i mean this place has all of the bad memories.

i finally reach the cove its such a special place to me and toothless, it was where i first met toothless and trained him all those afternoons, my handmade dagger was still in the lake, and the drawing we did along with all the scorch marks from toothless.

i soon hear toothless come up behind me I guess trying to scare me, just before he pounces i turn around and look at him straight in the face.

"hey toothless, why so slow?"i say 

"seriously i can never surprise you anymore" he whined

we had just raced to the cove, with me running and him flying with his automatic tail.

"hey bud remember this place"I say 

"well yeah i mean this is where you shot me down and YOU chopped off my tail fin!!!!"he roared 

"oh yeah sorry about that but you got me back" I say referring to my metal leg 

then he grabs me in his wings and hangs himself from a tree branch high up on the edge of the rock face.

after about 20 minutes into my sleep i can hear voices in the distance.

"okay guys gobber said he would be sleeping in the cove tonight so keep you eye out" I hear astrid whispered.

I am really glad that I have enhanced senses 

" hey toothless, wake up, let's have some fun with this" I say 

So we just hang there and wait. 

But then I hear snotlout yell 

" hey guys I found the dragon but i can't see hiccup."

Then when they all turn their backs I jump down with toothless and land behind them.

" so what brings you here guys " I say 

And they all squeal with fright even astrid 

" but where did you come from " snotlout said

" I was asleep in toothlesses wings until you all woke me up, so yeah thanks for that "

" so out with it why are you here you have to have a reason" 

 They all just stood there 

" well, I guess we all just wanted to see if it was really you" fish legs whispered 

" fish legs to answer your question it is me" I say out loud 

" how did you hear that!!!!!" Astrid says 

" oh astrid you have really gotten quite dumb over the years" I tease 

But the she lunges at me with her axe but before she can hit me I step to the side, grab her axe and throw it at the rock wall.

" oh astrid haven't you learnt your lesson, don't mess with me" I say 

" hey fish legs I know you like my dragon but please leave him alone he's getting kinda creeped out " I say to a fascinated fish legs 

And he quickly moves away.

And the rest of the gang are just standing there with the mouths agape after what I did with astrids axe 

" close your mouths you'll catch flies" I joke 

" now if you don't mind I'm going back to bed" and with that toothless scoops me up in his wings and hangs back on his branch.

" he literally just lodged you axe in solid rock" ruff exclaimed 

" hey guys lets sleep here for old times sake " i say  

And they all agree, so we set up our tents and drift off to sleep.
