Once Hayley finished,I couldn't help but to applaud her. She jumped and turned, smiling sheepishly at me and asked,"Oh! Um,hey,Rosie. You heard that, huh?" I smiled and nodded. "Yeah. You have the most amazing voice. How come you never told me?" Hayley shook her head and blushed, grabbing the tub of dirty mugs and placing them in the steamer in a haste. "I don't know what you're talking about." I laughed slightly and stepped in front of her. "Of course you do! You just sang your little heart out! Wait,..you just sang. Oh my god! Hayley, the auditions! You should audition for Taylor and Jeremy's band!" Hayley pushed past me and walked out to the coffeeshop. "Forget it,Rosie. I don't do that type of stuff." I frowned and followed after her as she collected dirty dishes and garbage. I picked up some and put them in the bin only for her to walk away again. "Well, why not? Don't you love to sing?" She sighed and started collecting things faster. "Of course I do-" I picked up a mug and handed it to her. "Then, why not live out your love for singing? Think about it. The fame, the fortune, the fans-" She scoffed and grabbed it. "The lies, the non-private lifestyle, the changes. Don't you get it? Fame and fortune isn't worth changing myself or anything else around me." She tried to walk away again but I grabbed her arm and pulled her back, holding her so we were face-to-face. "Then do it for me. Just this one audition. Please?" Hayley stared into my eyes for a moment but smiled. "Okay. One audition. But you owe me." I chuckled and smirked. "Of course I do. What are you up to tonight?" She shrugged and looked away. "I have to clean the shop, feed my dog-" I held my hand up over her mouth and smiled. "Great. I'll pick you up at eight." She blushed and nodded.

So,you were planning to have sexual relations?

What? No! Of course not! I was about to invite her over so that we can cook together and maybe cuddle and watch a movie.

This is your idea of a date?

Well, yeah. I've never been on an actual date before so,can you blame me?

Hm,interesting. Go on.

I smiled wide and went back to the table excitedly. "What's got you so peppy?" Jeremy questions, stacking the packets of sugar like a leaning tower.

Jeremy have a love for sugar?

Actually,I think he's more into the hating it scene. He was just really bored.

Anyway,i explained to the boys that i had the perfect audition set out and that i couldn't wait for them to see. "Wait, you were gone for about half an hour to see if Hayley was into you,and you come back with an audition?" Taylor asks with an amused smile. "For your information, curly fry,i did in fact find out." I retort, reaching in my pocket for my wallet. "Oh,yeah? Then, who won?" I sighed and grabbed the bill, looking it over. From the corner of my eye,i saw them high five like the idiots they were and i put down the money. We all exchange goodbyes and i hanged back until closing to walk back to my house with Hayley. "All good?" Hayley nods and i held out my hand nervously. I was pretty sure that i could fill a bucket full of sweat by now.

Gross.

Sorry,too honest?

Hayley smiled reassuringly and laced her hand with mine. "Rosie, you have to relax. I'm not gonna bite you or anything." She giggled and I chuckled. "Yeah, yeah." After a while of me and Hayley just walking around in silence,I spoke up. "It's a great night." She looked up at me and smiled, laying her head on my shoulder. "Yeah. I'm glad we did this." I blushed and kissed the top of her head. "Me too. It's just,um,..I've never really done this type of thing before." Hayley giggled and looked at me. "Don't tell me that you've never been on a date before,Rosie?" She smirked and I shrugged sheepishly. "Not even middle school dance?" I shook my head, wanting to shrink back into a hole. "What? No way." I sighed. "It was girl's choice." She tilted her head and pulled us to a stop. "And you never asked a girl?" I shook my head again. "It was girl's choice and well,no girl at my school was into girls. And even if they were, the school had a strict boy-girl policy." Hayley rolled her eyes. "Those bitches. No,I will not stand for this. Here," She let go of my hand and stepped In front of me,holding her hand out again. "What are you doing?" I laughed lightly. "On behalf of all the eighth grade girls,I am inviting you to dance with me." She reached for my hand again and I bit my lip. "Don't worry. It'll be fun!" Hayley grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to her. "I-i don't know how to do this." She wrapped her arms around my neck and I placed my hands on her shoulders. She giggled and shook her body a little,my hands falling down to her waist. We slowly rocked back and forth and she put her head on my shoulder. "Ya' know, besides the fact that we're dancing on the sidewalk, this is actually kinda nice." Hayley hummed softly in reply and picked her head back up,looking up at me. I slowly leaned in and her eyes fluttered shut, mine following soon after. A car horn shook us out of it and I turned to see Aero sitting in her tiny purple Volvo. Hayley and I jumped apart and Hayley walked up the stairs of the apartment building silently. I shot a glare at Aero and marched over. "For fuck's sake. You're like the tiny fucking cock blocking robot that was like developed in a secret fucking government lab. Go home." Aero jumped back surprised and sighed, driving off.

Wasn't that a little to the extreme,Nikki?

Nope. I think it was pretty fair.

The therapy session ends and Nikki walks home, stopping by a liquor store before doing the same cycle from the night before.

Zombieland inspired that last part because Columbus is an awkward shit and so is Nikki (: ~DJ
