Poem by LGND
As I walk in she caught my eye
She was beautiful- the type
You only see in nature.Couldn't help but stare
Catching glances
Of her smile. As she tried to remain
Interested in small talk
Of the day's events
Or ideal Internet gossip. As she ran her fingers
Threw the chain of her small
Clutch purse out of force of habit. It wasn't hard to tell she waiting for
Someone and only sat where she
Was so they could get the
Best view upon walking in.She was wearing a tight brown
Dress that looked like a coat
That in no way was warm or
Long enough to keep her warm.Tight enough to hold her frame
And show it off but still appear
ladylike.Only a couple buttons and a
Small snap belt with a logo
That for some reason now
Seems unimportant.As I walked closer I noticed
Freckles and a small chip on
Her tooth, she wasn't perfect. After some conversation
Even though she hid it
Well, she was broken. But broken glass makes beautiful
Windows after all.I would mention her name
But I'm pretty sure she
Can read between the lines.
