A theory that I found online says that a Flareon, a Jolteon, and a Vaporeon are the three Legendary Beasts, Entei, Raikou, and Suicune.

Many years ago, the tower in Ecruteak City burned to the ground and three pokemon perished in the fire. But a Ho-Oh had ressurected them as the Legendary Beasts, but what if these three Pokemon were the original three Eeveeloutions?

I mean, the original three Eeveeloutions have the same exact color schemes' as their Legendary doppelgangers. Also, in Generation 5, the Legendary Beasts were given Dream Word abilities. Entei given Flash Fire, Raikou given Volt Absorb, and Suicune given Water Absorb, the same abilities given to the three original Eeveeloutions...
