In the Japanese versions of Pokemon Red and Green, there were character sprites seen where a Fisherman was shown smoking a cigarette. There was also a girl found in one of the routes that was shown winking at the player and wearing really short shorts. She was believed to be a prostitute.
In the Amercian versions, the cigarette was removed from the Fisherman's mouth and the supposed "prostitute" was shown no longer winking and her shorts were turned into jeans.
(You're probably wondering why I said a swimmer the first time, but at first I really thought it was a swimmer, but I read the description and it said the design was a supposed "prostitute")
