Broken Promise [Kuroko no Basket Fanfic]

Chapter 1

Under the cold wintery night stand a person looking at the lights that is flickering around him, he heaved a sigh and just closed his eyes feeling the wind that was whipping his face gently

"How long has it been?" He whispered to himself while looking at the starry yet blurry sky that was hovering over him

"KUROKO-KUN!!" yelled a certain person from a distant

Kuroko tilted his head at the boy's direction "What is it?" he asked the boy

"I've been looking for you everywhere" the boy panted

Kuroko just sighed "Why are you looking for me?" he asked

"Tamaki is looking for you, he's waiting at the dorm, I'm sorry" the boy while panting

"Ryou... how many times will I tell you to stop apologizing every time you finish a sentence, you didn't even do anything" Kuroko stated, still looking above

"I'm sorry" Ryou apologize

"Sakurai Ryou..." Kuroko said warningly

"Sorry.." Ryou said quickly covering his mouth after saying sorry yet again

Kuroko just sighed and rolled his eyes "Whatever, let's go" he said walking away from the park

"Go where?" Ryou asked trailing behind Kuroko

"To the dorm, you just said that Tamaki was looking for me" Kuroko said looking back at Ryou raising an eyebrow at him

Ryou's eyes widened in realization and he blushed a deep scarlet "Ah..." he said smiling sheepishly

Kuroko rolled his eyes at him "Let's just go" he said

"So... it's been 3 years since you've saw them" Ryou said out of the blue

Kuroko looked at him curiously while stuffing his hands at his pockets "Who?" he asked

"The GoM and the others" Ryou replied

Kuroko stopped at his tracks looking at Ryou in shock "What do you mean by that?" he asked still in shock

Ryou sighed "They're having a reunion for not seeing each other for 3 years" he explained

"Which of them?" Kuroko asked, clearly not pleased that he didn't know such thing as important as that...

"All of them" Ryou said "Aomine-san called me saying that I should come too" he explained

Kuroko looked at him then above the sky closing his eyes while heaving a heavy sigh "I don't care anymore" he said then started heading to the dorm

In no time... they were standing in front of their dorm seeing as the park was not that far away from it

Getting in the elevator Kuroko pushed the button no. 4, the dorm was pretty tall for a dorm, you could mistook it as an apartment

Standing in front of the door Kuroko sighed pushing the door open only to be met by a jolly face which belongs to Tamaki "TETSUYA, HOW HAVE YOU BEEN?!" he yelled while crushing Kuroko into a hug

"Tamaki, you're crushing me" Kuroko said calmly

Tamaki backed away instantly "Sorry" he said while smiling sheepishly

"It's okay, so why are you here?" Kuroko asked

Tamaki grinned "Well... I GOT IN!!" he screamed, bouncing on Kuroko's bed cheerfully

Kuroko looked at him with one eyebrow raise "Got in where?"

Tamaki pouted "In the basketball club, ISN'T THAT AMAZING!!" he exclaimed

Kuroko's body stiffened, Ryou looked at him with worry

Basketball was a strict topic for Kuroko, he never liked basketball since that happened, Kuroko still play basketball till now in fact he polished his skills

He can beat Aomine and Kagami in a split second if he wants to, no kidding since he joined Seirin's basketball team, he's been training his self really hard, he's been keeping it a secret to everybody, so once he polished his skills he'll surprised his teammates but he didn't get the chance to, because they abandoned basketball not literally but they quit it saying they're going to college and they'll never need it there

They are all idiots

After 5 years, Kuroko finally perfected his skills but he only use it at street basketball and besides he only play with his new friends including Tamaki who is screaming with joy right now in front of Kuroko and Sakurai which is Ryou, you should know about that by now

Kuroko is now popular in his school not just because of his great skill at basketball but also because he's the main vocalist and guitarist of a band called Phoenix that is very popular in their school which is College obviously

"That's... great" he said with a bit of hesitation

Kuroko doesn't hate basketball that much but he doesn't love basketball like the way he loved it when he was in high school

"So can I sleep here?" Tamaki asked giving Kuroko the puppy eyes since he knows Kuroko can't resist it, seeing as Tamaki is the cutest of them all and he's the youngest

Kuroko groaned "Don't give me that eyes and why do you want to sleep here?" he asked

"Because I want to" Tamaki replied

Kuroko sighed heavily "Fine" he said and Tamaki cheered hugging Kuroko closely

Kuroko looked at Sakurai "Ryou, are you going to attend the reunion?" he asked

Sakurai was surprised at the sudden question but he hesitated "Can I?" he asked

Kuroko just snorted "Of course you can, I 'm not going to be angry"

"What about you?" Sakurai asked him

Kuroko just shrugged nonchalantly "Go to the Mall, I guess"

"Then I wouldn't attend the reunion" Sakurai said causing Kuroko to looked at him, clearly shock

"Why?" Kuroko asked

Sakurai just smiled "You'll need me with you, you always do"

Kuroko smiled at that "Well, you can go to your room now"

"What was that all about?" Tamaki asked as he looked at the two of them

They chuckled "Nothing..."

"Hmm..." Tamaki hummed then looked at Sakurai "Night Ryou-nii" he said then tugged the chuckling Kuroko to bed

"Night Ryou" Kuroko said smiling a bit

Sakurai bowed "Good night..." he said closing the door as he leave then headed to his room which is just one door away from Kuroko's room

'I guess I wouldn't be attending the reunion after all' Sakurai thought while smiling
