This world has been unforgiving
for the pain it's caused you
this world has been unjust to the problems it's handed you
and this world hasn't apologized
for the way it's ruined you
Beaten and bruised
it left you nothing quite left to use
You have been through it all and my
mind can't comprehend how you are still here with me
But I guess that's all that matters
You're here with me
And I know I can trust you
No matter
what life throws at us
at least we'll have each other,
right?
But how could I possibly
be there for you when you don't want me to be?
Can't you see?
Let me be there for you so you can be
here for me
Your pride blinds what you see
you can't be so concerned with
what I'll think
I know this is out of my control
I do believe.
But why can't you let me just be?
I don't understand do I?
Well then
show me what I can't
quite understand
because I'll gladly see
