The ride was almost of ten minutes before the breaks were hit in front of a lovely looking house. He got out of his car after seeing Sarah getting out of hers. He was nervous, hoping he'd get the job, he needed the job and this was a pretty decent offer. He couldn't be a part of the social welfare group until he has done something alike.
He straightened his denim jacket over his plain white shirt and swept his hair back to get them out of his eyes. He shoved his hands in his pockets as he moved across the side path and went near Sarah.
"This is the house?" He asked looking at the small place just down the porch.
"Yeah. You ready?"
"As I'll ever be, I guess." He nervously chuckled.
"Don't worry." Sarah rubbed his arm. "You've already met the mother. And the lad is a lovely boy. I can assure you."
"Yeah. Okay. Let's do this." He smiled at Sarah and she led him to the front door of the house, ringing the doorbell.
He looked at his own attire one last time before the door swung open, revealing a middle aged woman with dark hair with pale skin.
"Hello, Sarah." The two ladies hugged each other while he awkwardly stood there on the side. Sarah pulled apart and motioned to him.
"Anne, this is Louis. The boy I told you about and Louis, this is Anne, Harry's mother."
"Pleasure to meet you, ma'am." Louis brought his hand forward for Anne, like the lovely gentleman he is, and Anne gladly shook it.
"Same here. Come on inside." Anne opened the door wider for the two to enter and led them to her living room where she offered them a place to sit comfortably.
"So, Louis, seems like we have met before." Anne started.
"Yes, we have." Louis lightly smiled.
"From what I've heard, you're a trustworthy person." Anne motioned to Sarah since she was the source. "And I would expect you to be the same."
"Don't worry about anything, ma'am. You know where I live, if there's any problem, you can complain to my mum, I guess." Louis lightly chuckled, Anne already taking a liking in the boy. "And you know Sarah, so I wouldn't wanna get in trouble with both of them. Or you."
"One complain from her and I'll honestly tell Jay." Sarah playfully told Louis before turning back to Anne, who was smiling lightly. "Don't worry, Anne. I've know Louis for a very long time. He is not the one to take other's trust for granted."
"Well, Louis, I like you. I really do, but I have to see if Harry is okay with being with you. It's him you have to work with after all, you know?"
"I totally understand." Louis nodded.
"Let me go get him and we'll see if you get the job or not." Anne excused herself from the two and walked up the stairs, leaving both of them.
"You sure the boy is good?" Louis asked Sarah for the millionth time now.
"Yes. Don't worry."
Upstairs, Anne opened Harry's door and saw him laying on his bed. When Harry got the feeling of another presence, he looked at the door and saw his mum coming towards him with a small smile. He knew what was to come now.
"The new translator is here. Want you to meet him." Anne signed and Harry shook his head, turning away from his mum and facing the other way. Anne frowned and came to stand in front of Harry, having Harry not meet eyes. She tilted his face up gently. "What's the matter?"
"This one will leave too. No need to hire her." Harry grumpily signed, crossing his arms across his chest afterwards, still lying.
''It's not a her. It's a him. And I think he's a lovely boy. Sarah knows about him, and I think he's really trustworthy. Really well mannered as well. I just want you to come and see for yourself and if you don't like him, then we'll not hire him, alright?'' Anne signed back, hoping her son would understand.
