Mycroft and Bella sat in the back of his car, making their way to one of his absolute favorite restaurants. Mycroft squeezed Bella's hand in reassurance as he noticed her fidgeting with her forest green velvet dress. He liked the color but he thought it looked exceptionally better on her. Of course she knew that and had thought it perfect for their date when she saw it displayed in a boutique shop. Anything to to impress the so called iceman and it had very much worked, he could not keep his eyes off of her.

They chatted about how lovely John and Sherlock were together although they weren't affectionate around others, Myc had a collection of adorable moments captured on video. How could he not continue keeping an eye out on his baby brother. Isabella gushed and couldn't help but feel a relief that both Holmes brothers were in fact, very capable of feelings.

They had driven a little ways away from the city, about half an hour to a lovely cottage restaurant set up on a little hill. As they walked inside, a sweet old couple rushed to Mycroft to greet him.

"Oh Myc, what a wonderful surprise. You're parents just ate with us yesterday isn't that right Brian?" The elderly woman wrapped her arms a reluctant Mycroft causing Bella to giggle.

This caught the attention of the couple who owned, and they smiled brightly at the young baker.

"And who might this little lady be?" The older man smiled at Mycroft as he held his hand out to Bella.

"My name is Isabella but you can call me Bella." Shook Brian's hand and was then engulfed in a hug by the older woman.

"Oh what an absolute pleasure Bella, I'm Heather and this is my husband Brian. We never expected little Myc to bring a girl on a date. Oh isn't that just wonderful honey? My oh my, your parents will be happy to hear about this." The excited store turned back to the panicking Mycroft, bringing his face down to her to kiss both of his cheeks.

"Alright my love, let's get these two seated." Brian chuckled at his wife and lead the young couple to the restaurant's best table.

Once the couple was settled down at the candle lit table, Bella took in the incredible view of the distant city and her handsome date.

"I apologize if that was as uncomfortable for you as it was for me, I should have expected this kind of reaction. It is not every day that I am accompanied anywhere by such beauty." Mycroft said softly after gathering the courage to speak. Of course people couldn't believe anyone voluntarily joining him for dinner.

Bella quickly noticed the sadness in his voice and quickly slid her hand across the table towards him.

"Oh Mycroft don't be silly, they were very sweet. I'm sure they were just happy to see you and I am very happy to be here with you."

Feeling relieved by this, Mycroft took her hand in his and gave her a soft smile. She was breaking down his walls so easily but with such sincerity that he couldn't help but allow it. Not that he had a choice really but he could at least pretend right?

The conversation flowed between them easily as they ate. Though they couldn't come to a decision what house Mycroft would fit in with the most, Bella loved how Mycroft's eyes lit up as he talked about how much he enjoyed reading the series. Careers was the next top of conversation and Bella was curious to see just how much she'd be able to find out about the mysterious government agent.

"So just how much more dangerous is your work compared to that of John and Sherlock?" Bella knew the work they all did was quite serious but she wasn't sure what she was getting herself into.

"Oh I don't do as much footwork as those two do. I've got agents to do that for me, it's just all the paperwork in the back end that I get to deal with. Not very interesting."
