The train stops. The doors open. The same situation as always. But suddenly all the people around me starting to scream again. Is this a game?

Mitkommen.

Were following the Men. The Soldiers or the Slaves. I dont know how to call humans like they are.

Were going a while. After a few minutes we are reaching a big barbed wire fence. It doesnt look like freedom. But anyways I have to think optimistic. The girl next to me is crying. How heartless are they? They dont even notice us. They just say what they have to say. Between the barbed wire fence is a door.

In eine Reihe aufstellen.

Reingehen.

We have to follow the rules. Were going inside the field which is inside of the barbed wires. The door closes. We arrived in the camp! But it dont look so great as we thought. It looks like a farm. I can see to big Chimneys. Whats there? Stop looking at the chimneys. The girl next to me says. Were all going to die soon.

The Farm is not really big. Two little houses. There are beds for twenty people. Were more than twenty. Some people have to sleep on the floor. The floor is dirty. Its all dirty. Nobody says a word. Were going around to see what that is. It really looks like a farm.

Ihr arbeitet von nun an jeden Tag für uns. Für den Führer. Ihr werdet kleine Häuser bauen und das machen, was wir euch sagen. Wenn jemand etwas einzuwenden hat, wird das Konsequenzen haben. Verstanden?

He said, that we have to work for him every day now. If you say something against them it will have consequences. The girl next to me says. Whats your name? I ask. Im Carla. Nice to meet you, Carla. Are you here with someone?

I had a friend. Her Name was Madita and she was a Jew. They got her a few weeks ago. Jews have to wear this star on their coats right? I ask. Yes they do. Its for the Soldiers to see whos a Jew and whos not. If they wont wear it theyll get killed, I guess. Sounds not great. Sounds like He is really a monster.

Im here since two days. Nothing really badly happened. Carla and I became friends. I really like her. Shes actually just like me. She doesnt mind when someone says something against her. I like that. I think shell always protect people in situations like that. But the situation is really bad right now and Im not sure if she can help so much people. Weve become less since we arrived here.

Im scared. I feel sick. But Im also scared to ask the German soldiers for medicine or something that could help me. Is everything okay? Carla asks. Yes but Im feeling very sick. But its fine at all. I have to work with those men. She whispers. Her finger shows to five men and shes laughing a little bit.

See you later take care of yourself. She says. You too. See you later. I answer. Right now Im standing all alone next to the house. I dont know what to do but if I dont get anything to do Ill may get annoyed from the soldiers. Thats why I start pretending to do something. I take some hey and I put it in a wheelbarrow. A soldier is looking at me but I pretend to not notice him. Hes going. When does this finally stop? It is not the best thing to be half blind. But actually I have become accustomed to it so why do I have to feel bad. Everyone is feeling bad its not just me. So I have to live with my situation.

Excuse me? Can I help you? I turn around.

Brown hair I guess. I think he has green eyes and he smells good. yes! I mean no, I mean yes! what was that? Is everything okay? Yes Im sorry. Why do you speak English? I come from England. And you? Why do you speak English? Im from England too. I arrived two days ago. What about you? Im here with my little sister and with my grandmother. Oh thats nice. I mean the situation is not nice but you got your family. Yes. Are you alone? Yes. Oh okay Im sorry for you. Its okay dont worry.
