(This first part is all spoken in Galactic, by the way. I just didn't want to torture you all into translating the entire first part of a chapter.)

((Also, the reason the Watchers aren't named is bc this takes place before Grian ever game them any names... he hadn't even been born yet lol- oh crap... I-I just spoiled something... Hopefully y'all don't get what part... well it's gonna be spoiled anyways in a moment, so whatever-))

Herobrine stormed through the Watcher's castle. The endermen guards bowed as he passed, but he did not notice. He was fuming.

He turned the corner, entering the main hall where the thrones were built.

There they sat. One bright like the brightest day, the other dark like darkest night, both their hearts emptier than the void. "Greetings, Herobrine." One of them shifted their position atop the seat.

"Greetings shmeetings. Where is she!?" His eyes flashed dangerously bright.

"Who ever are you talking about, Great One?" the second Watcher added.

"Don't play dumb, Watchers. You know EXPLICITLY who I'm speaking about."

"You mean that other Watcher? They left."

"SHE isn't a W A T C H E R-." Herobrine floated upwards. "Now for the sake of the fricking Nether, WHERE THE FRICK IS MY SISTER!?"

Maya followed EX up the ladder. "And here is my tree house! The first of many. I-It's not fully completed... yet-"

"You built this?" EX asked quietly. Cautiously, even. Almost sounding in awe.

Maya noted that. "Do you... Do you like it?" she asked, flexing her hands against one another.

"Wha- Uh- It's adequate." EX shook his head and stepped into the other room quickly. She bowed her head slightly, pulling her shoulders up and blushing slightly.

"I'm planning to build a few more in those directions," and she pointed out to some other trees.

"It will be quite a sprawling empire, ruling high and mighty from in the trees. Being able to... watch the other Hermits down below."

"Whaaa!? It's not like that! I just wanted to build a city in the trees!"

"But is there a purpose for this... city?"

"Uh- to live in and have fun!" Maya twirled around with a smile on her face.

"F-fun...?" EX tried the word on his tongue, not liking how it tasted. "You do you," was his reply.

"I'll set up a bedroom for yah. Where'd you like to sleep?" Maya gestured around the living room. It was pretty bare at the moment, not having much furniture; a pop-up bedroom could be slotted in anywhere.

"Hhhhh, I do not care." EX plopped himself down on one of the couches and propped his feet up on the low coffee situated in the living room.

"Sounds good!" As EX watched Maya speed-build a room, EX thought, 'So this is who they want? Pshhhh, she's just a little girl.'

Maya tried to hide the shaking of her hands by setting up his bedroom right away. 'Watch the Hermits... what did he mean when he said that!? OUCH-' She accidentally dropped the block she was holding on her foot. Letting out a hiss of pain, she hobbled to the freezer to grab some ice.

EX glanced over to her. "You alright?"

"Peachy," she replied, voice monotone. Wincing, she limped back to her building site.

Before he knew what he was doing, EX was walking over to give Maya a hand with building. She just looked at him, confused. "Don't get used to it." She just nodded her head, accepted the help, and the two walked to the construction zone.

'Why I am helping here!?' he wondered to himself. 'Wha- Why did I even think to?"

EX concentrated on one step after the next, as to not restrain Maya from walking.

From his hold on her arm, he could feel indentations that would point to scarring, but her skin was pristine. Not a single scar. 'GAH! WHAT IN THE VOID IS WRONG WITH ME!?' He abruptly let go of Maya, causing her to stumble and cast a curious glance in his direction. She just shrugged and continued to build his bedroom.

EX needed air. Not the normal kind, though. He needed to breath in the toxic Void air... well, toxic to Overworldians...
