Cassie

Cassie's wolf opened her eyes, scenting her pack. She was in friendly territory. The ball-of-fire in the sky heated her human's skin as her human began to slip away into nothingness. Panicking, the wolf tugged at her human consciousness, pulling her away from the black. The wolf's human was weak. The wolf must protect the human. The wolf must take over the two-legged body.

The wolf looked around noticing her Alpha and Luna nearby, their expression's wary. Saltwater dripped from the Luna's eyes. The Alpha acknowledged her, his eyes flashing his wolf. Immediately Cassie's wolf submitted to the Alphas, bearing her neck with her eyes down. We are not a threat. We do not seek to challenge the hierarchy.

Suddenly, the-wolf-who-protects-the-alpha slowly began to approach Cassie. The wolf looked on intelligently, noting the hesitance in his movement. The wolf nodded in pride, sitting straighter. He should be afraid. The wolf would enforce hierarchy.

The air ruffled her human's fur and the wolf scented her mate.

Immediately she turned towards the enticing smell, seeing her mate talking to another female. The wolf growled in displeasure. She sniffed, noticing that the-lycan-female-was-a-sharer-of-her-mate's-blood and not a threat to the mate bond. The wolf relaxed slightly.

The human's consciousness tugged again, as the human began to slip away. The wolf gave a helpless whimper, trying to pull her human to awareness, but the human did not listen. Slowly, she started to fade.

The wolf let out another yelp, filled with terror. She frantically tugged the human awake. Wolf must protect.

Suddenly, her mate was in front of her offering the wolf a-water-and-snow mixture, which was the color of the leaves-seen-on-tree.

The wolf scented it warily, her overprotective instincts in overdrive.

Her mate's mouth opened and closed but the wolf could not understand language without her human. The touch of her mate soothed her.

Her human began to fade faster.

Frantic, the wolf opened its mouth, allowing the mixture to be poured inside.

All at once, the human vanished.

The wolf gave a betrayed whine as it too began to fade into nothingness.

Light entered beyond its eye-lids forcing the wolf awake.

The wind-of-summer flew past.

Suddenly the strength of her human returned in full force, the human side overtaking and dominating the wolf.

As she began to retreat, the wolf let out a joyous howl.

Adira

Adira breathed a sigh of relief as Cassie drowsily opened her eyes, blinking her sleepy away. She looked around confused before her eyes finally settled on Adira.

"They sabotaged the fight, we managed to get out alive." Adira summarised quickly, as the sound of a rock explosion distracted her.

She turned towards Kaifa, who was standing in the middle of the arena opposite Belv, her toes not touching the ground. Her white dress swirled in the breeze as her hair fluttered in the strong dust storm revolving around her.

Kaifa screamed, desperate, "It was you! Lyracus learned what he learned from you! Heal my mate and I may forgive you for it."

Belv spoke just as urgently, "Kaifa, I have no idea what's wrong with him!"
