"On the Basement, the bloody survival will take place! Who will survive and who will take the ranks on the leaderboard?!"

THIS IS boring.

I glared at the door with the thirty-second countdown. Ito ang door papunta sa event location. The annoying announcers are currently talking shits about things I don't really care. Especially dahil wala ang pangalan ko do'n.

I have selective hearing.

Pinagmasdan ko ang paligid. The rogues around me are bubbling with excitement. I can relate with that, but not their patience. Paano sila nakakapag-usap sa iba? I'm practically vibrating to kill people here.

I'd be more happy kung nakapasok na kami bago ang countdown.

Thief and their stealth. If I think about it, I guess I could make a pretty good thief. Lalo na't may title pa ako dito. Nyahahaha.

"What? Waiting?" I asked, annoyed.

She scoffed. "Just a few seconds more, you ball of impatience."

Matamis akong ngumiti. "Oh please, compliment me more."

Sena giggled. Ngumiwi ako. Ano ang nakakatawa sa pagiging sarkastiko ko? Hex would have smacked me by now. I sighed.

Why would I do those when there's a present in front of me? Kaya naman, I clicked the button quickly.

I braced for my chaindaggers, holding them close to my chest.

The darkness lingered, save for some mini lights that marked up a path. I stepped to my left, testing the ground. I continued with my little side steps when I almost tripped on a bump.

So the Basement is not really a plain surface then. Tumingala ako. It's safe to assume that there might be floating rocks here or whatever.

Pinikit ko ang mga mata. Now that I have an inkling to the Basement's layout, I can properly pick out targets. This is what you call a plan, thank you very much. I am not a bloodthirsty rogue who heads to battle without a second thought.

I focused on my sorroundings. There are two people running a few feet away from me, on a completely opposite direction. On my right, I can also spot three rogues moving quickly, possibly fighting. In my left, there's one above, on a terrain, and two walking-

My eyes flew open. I can't feel rogues near me but my danger senses are flaring abnormally.

And I know how to doubt my own senses. Kaya naman, I leaned on the wall. I slowly twirled it behind me, waiting for anything.

I took a silent, deep breath and focused on the sounds, the slight gush of wind inside the room, the ringing of presence in the air.

My green, cat-like eyes narrowed when the first step is made. A figure appeared on the corridor, shadowed by the darkness.
