minji was very intelligent and almost immediately understood the situation. She intentionally dropped the red packets she had taken. “Eh? Cousin-in-law, your red packets fell.”

She then bent down and considerately picked them up, handing them over with a smile. “These are from the Jeon family’s elders. Keep them with you carefully.”

Taehyung accepted them calmly. He watched jaewon thoughtfully and realised that this bastard had reminded minji to cease her actions.

Furthermore, he had done so seamlessly, leaving him with no way to become upset.

He understood that the Jeon siblings weren’t easy to deal with. Nonetheless, he had plenty of time to handle them.

Taehyung opened the red packets on the spot unhappily. As expected, each contained a cheque worth six million dollars.

The cheques were signed by the different elders and it was clear which belonged to whom.

Taehyung then took out the red packets which minji had stuffed into his pockets.

He opened them. “You secretly gave me red packets? You even gave me three at a go. There’s twenty dollars in each one of them. Those who don’t know may think you were trying to replace my red packets with these ones worth sixty dollars.”

Minji's smile stiffened. How could she possibly admit to it? “Mr. Kim, you’ve misunderstood me. I only wished to give you some red packet because it’s your first time visiting our family. It’s an expression of my sincerity.”

“Misunderstood?” taehyung harrumphed coldly. “Why would you give me three red packets then?”

“Yes…” jaewon naturally spoke up for his sister. “It’s like this. One of the red packets is from my sister, and the other two are from my mother and I. We asked her to hand them to you all at once.”

“Yes, yes.” minji rushed to agree with her brother. “I was worried you wouldn’t accept it, so I placed them in your pocket secretly.”

“Not bad, sixty dollars.” taehyung directly threw the money at jaewon's face. “I won’t accept such a ‘large’ sum. Keep it for yourself.”

Jaewon was hit directly in the face and his expression immediately turned poor.

“Is Mr. Kim complaining that it’s too little?” A hint of mocking flashed past minji's eyes. “Sincerity is more important than the gift itself. I didn’t expect my future cousin-in-law to be such a superficial person.”

“Hahaha.” taehyung laughed. “minji, don’t act as if you’re on a higher moral standing.” he narrowed his eyes lightly. “Are you expressing your sincerity through a light gift? You know better than anyone else that you were trying to replace my money with a mere sixty dollars. Do you think I would accept this excuse of yours? You’re too shameless!”

Minji's complexion turned pale. She explained in frustration. “I didn’t touch your red packets. They fell when I tried to give you mine…”

“When you were committing a crime, your brother, jaewon, noticed Butler lee watching us and made you stop.” taehyung did not waste his breath. “Butler lee will report this incident to Grandfather. Who knows what sort of conclusion he will come to?”

Minji's face became as white as a sheet of paper.

Taehyung had nearly managed to show minji the consequences. If only she had truly managed to take the cheques.

He was similarly angry that jaewon had interfered.

Taehyung kept his red packets in his bag and left in anger while jaewon and minji pretended to be strolling in the yard.
