Distance

It was a typical night
She sat outside
She had to go say Hi
And that's when they came eye to eye
They fell in love in no time
They were good together
So fine
Days passed
And love grew
Between the hearts
Of them two
Hearts that were filled with glee
Untill one day
He got on one knee
And to his question
She said "Yes"
They were so blessed
And time went on
They had kids
And loved them to bits
Then came a time
When both grew old
Their love was gold
Through hot and cold
Through black and blue
Together they grew
Then came a time
The alarm went on
She snaps out of it
And sits there alone
It was just another one
A clumsy day dream
Shakes her head
And her thoughts she redeems
None of that happened
And not another
She's on one side of the planet
And he's on the other
She wipes away her tears
And gives his picture another glance
That one who was taken away by distance
Puts it back in it's place
With all the stuff that can't replace
His charming smile
His blessful presence
His sweet embrace
And overwhelming essence
She takes her way through the door
And goes on with her life
Half-alive
But she's alright
She holds on
There's still some hope inside
But that's just how distance
Separates two pure hearts
Whose souls will hover
And meet up above
So that's why distance
Should never take place in love...

This is the story of how I met that guy and how I wanted it to be. But none of that had happened because he'd had to go back. He had lived far away from where I lived.
