The floor beneath me a hurtling vitality
Each breath that escapes my lips
Creates a soft cloud of air
My hands protected in woolen warmth
Fragile snow butterflies falling amiably
Leaving iced kisses on my skin
My eyelashes flutter shut
The texture of my mittens coarse
The bustling city loud in my ears
The distinct scent of the night air comforting
Each intake of air sharp, but in a way relieving
A euphoric smile graces my frostbitten lips
My heart fluttering with a sense of familiarity
The winner was not based on votes, and we weren't planning on having a People's Favorite winner, but you guys voted, so we're announcing those, too.
