Sitting in the dark of my mind;The world swiftly and slowly whistling by.The darkness seems only to part like the sea when looking out to the darkness outside of me.
In a room of kids and teens,A place where the unloved are loved more than anyone could love broken me.The girl stands in front of us all,Telling tales of when she would cry for days,And how she learned to look up and see the sun.
Suddenly,Like a knife through paper,It came as a breeze on a sweldering sunny day.I wasn't alone anymore.And the darkness swallowing me whole seemed to have a pinpoint of light far off in the distance that was suddenly in arms reach.
That day I saw a smile again,Of warm arms and sunshine pouring into my soul.I didn't fear the demons anymore.I didn't have to listen to the voices any longer,As they held no grip on me.My soul was free againAnd I could breathe.
