BETHANY'S P.O.V.

We were all worried about her. What happened on the date that was so bad? The thought of that guy hurting Delaney infuriated me. Breakfast was silent. The triplets knew something had happened so they were also sullen. We quietly made our way to school.

When we arrived Adrian was leaning against his bike and looked like shit. It surprised me. None the less I stormed over to him and ignored the calls of my sisters.

"What did you do?" I asked.

"What do you mean?" Adrian asked.

"Don't play dumb with me. Delaney stormed into the house last night upset. She hasn't spoken to us and has locked herself in a room. What did you do?" I yelled.

Adrian started shaking and I narrowed my eyes, I could tell he was starting to get angry. I could stop his fist before it could touch my skin so I wasn't worried.

"Bethany stop! It wasn’t his fault!" Cassie huffed running over to us.

"Like hell it isn’t!" I snapped.

"They kissed!" Cassie blurted.

I froze. I turned to look at Cassie.

"Is that why...” I left the question in the air and Cassie nodded.

I looked at Adrian who wasn't angry anymore, just confused. I walked away and Cassie had already told the rest of the sisters.

"How is that possible? He should be dead!" Ariel protested.

"It's what I saw yesterday. I couldn't have stopped it from happening because let's face it! This is what Delaney needs!" Cassie said.

"Then why was Delaney upset?" Ebony asked.

"She's confused. She killed her last boyfriend with her first kiss. I'd be pretty upset if I kissed someone and they didn't die," Ariel explained.

We all stayed silent, thinking, When the bell we ventured to our classes.

All day I was thinking about what happened. I hardly paid attention to class. I was worried about Delaney. I was afraid that she'll do what she did when Andrew died. She locked herself in her room and didn't come out for months. She had lost a lot of weight and her Magick had disintegrated.

We had the ceremony to do this weekend. If she didn't do it she won’t have any Magick. When it was lunch time everyone sat and ate quietly. No one spoke. We were all worried about Delaney.

"What if Delaney doesn't do the ceremony with us this weekend?" Ebony blurted.

"Then she won't have any Magick until the next month," Ariel answered.

We didn't lose our independent powers. We just lost our Magick energy. We can't manipulate water or do any spells. Magick also made up most of our energy. Since we were witches we needed our Magick to do daily things. Witches need Magick as much as normal people need food.

When Andrew died she skipped three ceremonies and was almost on the brink of death. We had to force her and still was experiencing the side effects a couple of months after that.

It was the end of the day and we were about to leave when Adrian ran up to us.

"Why was she so freaked out that I kissed her?" Adrian asked.

"We can't tell you," Ariel answered.

"Why not?" Adrian protested.

"Because it's not our secret to tell," Ariel told him before getting into one of the cars.
