I looked at it and a flash of guilt shoot into my throat, I was speechless. I threw it back into the box and stood up and walked over to my bed and began stress packed

I looked up and saw my mother leaned on the door frame, she smiled and walked in, she sat on the bed and patted the bed for me to sit down
I sat down and sighed, I knew what she was going to do, she turned to me and smiled," sweetheart—" she said and stopped talking, I fuzzed my eyebrows together," mom?" I asked and she looked up at me and took a breath
" I'm gonna miss you," she said and hugged me, I hugged her tighter," I know...but I'm not leaving right now, besides Zahra's here," I said and pulled out of the hug," I know I know," she said and wiped a tear that was falling
" I'm just going to college, I'll be back. I'm gonna visit as much as I can," I told my mother, she nodded and stood up," now let's get these clothes to goodwill," I said with a smile
Mom walked out and closed the door, I walked to my closet and took out what I wanted to wear for my graduation, It was a light blue flower dress I've gotten from Luna. I placed it on my desk chair and took a pair of fresh jordans my mom had just bought me on the chair, I cleaned up the mess I've made before
I looked on my alarm clock and saw that it was almost twelve am, I changed into the dress and the jordans, I let my hair be curly, I've gotten highlights which made the curls look fantansic. I took my clear lipgloss on and did my eyeliner and eyebrows," z!" my mom called I hurried to take my bag and phone
I flew down the stairs where my mother, sister, and brother stood and waited on me," Took you long enough," said Zahra and fixed her hair in the mirror that was next to the door, I scoffed and opened the door," we're taking yours," I said to my mother," I guess you would rather have this one..." my mom sad and opened the garage door and my next dream car stood there in the flesh!

I asked and ran up to it and touched its paint, it looked amazing," it's your graduate present from me," I looked back and saw my brother smile, he threw the keys at me and I caught them," I can't belive it!" I said and ran up to Zaine and gave him a big bear hug," I love you! I love you!" I repeated and pulled out of the hug," better get going or we're going to be late," my mom said and I totally forgot about my graduatsion I quickly unlocked the car and jumped, and so did mom, Zaine, and Zahra
" you know I'm getting your old car when I'm sixteen right?" Zahra questioned," whatever!" I said and admired my new car, it was what I've dreamed of in a while
When we got there it was packed with people who were going to be done with high school in a couple of hours," I'm gonna go and get my gown," I said to my family," I'm going to find a front seat!" my mother said and walked to the football field, Zaine and Zahra followed
I walked over to this tent where our gowns should be, I walked inside and saw luna," oh god Z'Niyah!" she said and walked over to me and we hugged," it's unreal, were graduating in less than an hour!" she said excited," I'm so ready to go to college," I said to Luna as we walked over to a clothing rack
" urgh me too!Princeton here I come!" Luna said and laughed, I looked over to end and found mine, I took it of the racks," I'm gonna go to the bathroom and change," I said and Luna nodded," mhm sure," she said and smiled and I walked out
Luna and I over the year haven't really talked that much, she had her head buried in homework and extra stuff so she could get into Princeton. I've have done my part and now I just hope that I'm getting in
I walked my way and looked at the plastic bag, I've waited for this since fourth grade. To be on that stage and say goodbye to all these people, I know it sounds mean but ive always been ready to be an adult
To have my own stuff, house, money all that stuff
I opened the single bathroom door and and walked in and locked the door behind myself, I zipped the plastic bag down and saw the blue and green gown
I took it on and it fitted perfectly, I looked like a real graduate now. I took the bag in hand walked walked out of the bathroom
As I walked out the door hit a body," oh I'm so sorry-" I looked at the person I hit and it was him
It was Brandon, I haven't really seen him since that day, I know we go to the same school but after Paris I changed all of my classes, and I did it again this year
He looked different, his hair was a bit lighter then I remembered, it was messy but in a good way. He had a tuxedo on, probably his dad gave him
I probably looked like deer, caught in the headlights, I cleared my throat and smiled. It was obvious that we both didn't want to chat
I walked past him," Za'Niyah......" he said and his voice, ohh weee it was darker. I turned around and saw that he shifted his weight to his other foot," Brandon....." I said and he just looked at the floor, I sighted and gave him my charming smile," congrats on graduating," I said and with a grin trying to hold back some weird feelings
He scoffed and chuckled," can we cut the bullshit?" He asked and my smile dropped, I sighed and folded my arms," I'm just trying to make this—" I said and and pointed at both of us," not awkward," I said and sighed
" but it is awkward, it's always going to be. I just want to say I hope you get into Yale," he said genuinely and I smiled at him," and I hope you get into Boston college!" I said with a smile
We just stood there and then the speaker went off" all future graduates please gather on the football lawn!"
We looked at each other and nodded, I hurried down the hall and on to the field. I stood right next to a girl with chestnut brown hair with highlights
She turned around and-"DEVON!?" I asked and she turned around and it was in fact Devon," oh god I haven't seen you since summer!" I said and she smiled," yeah dad had to move because of military stuff, so we followed. But I told that I had to come here and graduate," Devon said and hugged her
" arghh I've missed my bestie," I said and she smiled, she leaned over to me and whispered," Quinn and I are girlfriends," she said and I screamed with happiness, people looked at me like I was crazy but my best friend got together with her crush
" how are thing?!" I asked an s Devon just laughed and placed her hand on my shoulder," ahh sweet Za'Niyah Scott, I'll tell you at the grad party," she said and I nodded
