"Can someone tell me..." my teacher said while I spaced out I looked at the window and it was raining, it had a cold and gloomy look. I sighed and looked around the classroom, everyone looked bored," I can see that everyone is about to fall asleep, so I'm letting y'all go," she said and smiled
Everyone stood up and left the classroom," Za'Niyah can I talk to you?" My teacher said and folded her hands," what's up Mrs river?"I asked and smiled," you're really Distance in class, can you tell me why?" She asked and tilted her head a bit, I sighted and looked down," I-it's because something happened and I'm just-" I sighed,"- I don't know how to handle it I guess," I said and looked at her," if you ever need someone to talk to I'm always here," she said and hold my hand I nodded and stood up, I took my backpack over my shoulder and walked out of the classroom
I saw Devon at her locker taking stuff out," are you still mad at me?" I asked and sighed, she kept on taking stuff out of her locker," what are you doing?" I asked," moving lockers," she said coldly and looked at me for a second and went back to doing whatever she was doing," what?!why?! We've always been locker buddies," I said frustrated," yeah but I need a friend, and your sure ain't one," she said and slammed her locker and walked," what the fuck Devon!" I shouted and Got glossy eyes
She kept on walking, I looked like a fool just standing there looking at the hallway dumbfounded," are you okay?" Someone asked I shook my head and started to walking but the person grabbed my wrist," would you!-" I looked and saw it was Brandon," what do you want?" I asked and took my wrist back from him," what's wrong?" He asked and looked at me with those Bambi eyes," nothing," I said a bit hard," no something is wrong," he said and sighed
" I- Brandon I'm fine, it's Devon who's being weird," I mumbled and fumbled with my long sleeve shirt," I hate seeing you guys fight," he said and walked a bit closer," I hate that she's mad because I kinda maybe like you," I mumbled the last part," what?! Can you say that again? I couldn't hear you," he said and smirked
I rolled my eyes and smiled," I like you dummy," I said and playfully punched his shoulder,"well I kinda maybe like you too," he said and took a hold of my hips
There wasn't a soul left in the hallways we just had our last period
I looked at him
I'm I really gonna do this? Try again to be happy?
I took a step closer
I placed my hands on his shoulders," do you wanna go on a date with me?" He asked and smiled
