chapter 14

jake walked her to class
it didn't feel the same as it does when noah walked her

she got in her classroom and threw her bag down and sat in a desk

what am i even doing? i don't even like jake. i like when noah drives me to school and i like when he walks me to class. i know it's not right to use jake to piss noah off. but jakes not dumb. he probably knows. i'll talk to him. maybe. probably not. ugh i don't know. should i hear noah out? no. well...no. if noah actually cared he wouldn't have ripped me off of the stage the way he did. i mean what the fuck. it was so aggressive. i was scared of him for a few minutes there. i mean toxic hot boys are definitely my thing. but noah? no no no. he does not deserve to pretend like nothing happened after that. but why did he even care?

the teacher-miley...miley...MILEY

she quickly jumped out of her thoughts and looked at the teacher

miley-yeah
the teacher-is everything okay
miley looked up- um yeah of course
the teacher-wanna take a walk?
miley-um yeah that would be great
miley got up
and the teacher followed
miley-oh you're coming with me?
the teacher- of course. looks like you could use some company or some advice

that specific teachers name is mrs.garcia
or as everyone calls her "mrs.g"
she'd definitely miley's favorite teacher. she is very understanding. and one of the very few teachers who actually cares about their students well being. miley knew that.

mrs g.- look i know you and noah are in a little issue -
miley-how do you know that
mrs g- are you kidding me? everyone knows that. you do realize noah flynn is the most popular guy in school,right? and you're the girl he shows up to school with everyday.
miley-i guess i never thought of it that way
mrs g-honey,my advice is talk to him miley. he loves you and he cares. he always has been your number one supporter. he cares miley i promise. and you know that
miley nodded her head.

but she had a complete other plan
i'm gonna teach him a lesson. i'm gonna do everything he doesn't want me to do. i'm gonna hang out with all his football friends.i'm gonna let boys kiss all over me. and he can't do anything about it.

skip to the end of the school day

she met jake outside
noah was standing with his friends
and he watched miley walk up to jake and kiss him

jake grabbed her hand and they walked to his car holding hands
they got in his car
he got a text on his phone from that girl vanessa that he originally did things with when him and miley were talking

jake-miley i can explain
miley-jake
jake-look i-
miley-jake i'm not mad
jake-you're not?
miley-no,you can be hooking up with her,i don't care but i do need you to keep
pretending that we are together. keep driving me to and from school. and just stand outside with me in the morning and after school. just so noah thinks we're dating, got it?
jake-um why
miley-doesn't matter
jake-okay yeah i'm on board
she smiled

when they got to the house she saw noah in the garage
and she kissed jake making sure noah saw

she shut the car door and said bye to jake
and she made her way to the front door

noah-miley really? jake?
miley laughed and walked away
noah threw his things down

she went to her room
