- HALE HOUSE -

Scott follows Derek into the dark recesses of the Hale home.

"You know I have a life too." Scott sighs

"No, you don't." Derek says

"Yes, I do. I don't care what you say about him making me his pet—"

"Part of his pack." Derek corrects him.

"Whatever. I have homework. I have to be at a parent/ teacher conference tomorrow because I'm failing Chemistry."

"You want to do homework?" Derek raises his eyebrows. "Or do you want to not die? You have less than a week until the full moon. You don't kill with him? He kills you. Not only that, but you need to be careful with Alycia, we don't know what the effects of the full moon can do to her." Derek warns him.

"Seriously? Who made up these rules?"

"It's a rite of passage into his pack."

"You know what else is a rite of passage? Graduating high school. And you don't have to kill anyone to do it. How come you can't find him yourself? Why don't you just sniff him out when he's human?" Scott asks

"Because his human scent could be entirely different. It has to be you. You have a connection with him, a link you can't understand. If I can teach you to control your abilities, you can find him." Derek explains

"If I help find him, can you stop him?"

"Not alone. We're stronger in number. A pack makes the individual more powerful." Derek informs him

"How am I supposed to help when I don't have a clue what I'm doing?" Scott furrows his eyebrows.

"I'm going to teach you. Remember what happened that first night you were shot in the arm? Right after you were hit?" Derek asks him.

"I changed back." Scott says nodding his head.

"And when you were hit by his car? The same thing, right? What's the common denominator?"

Scott shakes his head. Derek grabs his hand, closing his fist over Scott's. Bones break sending Scott screaming and crumbling to his knees.

"What the hell's your problem?" Scott exclaims

"It'll heal." Derek simply answers

"It still hurts!"

"And that's what keeps you human. Pain." Scott opens his hand, fingers straightening out, the sound of bones snapping back into place. "Maybe you will survive." Derek adds.

- MCCALL HOUSE -

"You sure you don't want me to take you inside? You still look weak-"

"I'm good, Stiles. Thank you for the ride." Alycia cuts the boy off.

"Okay." Stiles sighs. "Good night, Al."

"Good night, Sti."

She opens the Jeep door and climbs out. Turning back around she gives the boy a wave before heading towards the front door of her house.

She drops her schoolbag on the floor, after closing the door, and heads toward the kitchen.

That she's hungry is understandable.

Moments later, the front door opens, Scott walks in closing the door behind him.

"Mom?"

"Alycia." Alycia states with a smile.
