"Yeah, I'll update you from time to time. I've been here for only three days. I'm planning to stay longer," she added.
Mahinang tumawa ang doktora sa kabilang linya. "Be careful. You might forget about your plans, Miracle. Alam mo kung anong pakay mo kaya ka bumalik kay Trigger."
She smirked playfully. "Kalimutan? Why would I do that? Besides, I still have many plans running around my head."
"Just be careful, and don't get caught."
She rolled her eyes. "I'm always careful. You don't have to tell me. I'll hang up."
Binaba ni Miracle ang cellphone nang patayin niya ang tawag.
She stared at the window when she remembered about Autumn's picture, and when Saellyn said that Autumn is actually Sebastian's wife.
Five years ago, it was her husband's birthday. Enica sent her a picture, about her husband accompanying a woman. And that woman is this Autumn. But it turns out that Autumn is actually Trigger's sister in law.
So Autumn's not one of Trigger's mistress?
Napairap na lang siya sa ere. Wala nang pakealam si Miracle kung sino man ang kabit ng asawa niya sa hindi.
Pasimple niya munang nilingon ang hagdan para tingnan kung paparating ba ang asawa niya, nang makitang wala naman ito ay mabilis siyang lumapit sa katiwala ng bahay na kararating lang.
"Manang," she said with her gentle voice.
Natigil ito sa pagwawalis nang marinig ang boses noya. Nakangiting lumingon sa kaniya ang matandang babae. "Ano po 'yon, ma'am Miracle? May kailangan po ba kayo?"
Her eyes wandered around when she remembered that she'll eat lunch together with Trigger.
"Puwede po bang ipagluto ninyo ako ng ginataang alimango? Bigla po kasi akong nagutom, matagal pa po yata darating 'yung mga in-order ni Trigger." Pinalambing niya pa ang boses niya habang sinasabi 'yon.
Mabilis namang tumango ang matanda. "Ay nako, ma'am. Maraming witness na isa ako sa mga pinakamagaling magluto ng ginataang alimango rito. Ano pa ho bang gusto ninyong ipaluto?"
She shook her head. "Wala na po, manang." A smirk flashed on her lips as she cleared her throat. "Pero pakidagdagan na lang po ng cayenne powder kasi mahilig po ako sa maanghang."
"Ako ang bahala diyan, ma'am. Ay siya, maiwan ko ho muna kayo rito para mahanda ko na ang lulutuin ko."
"Salamat po, manang." Ilang ulit niyang niyuko ang ulo bilang paggalang.
Nang tuluyan nang mawala ang ginang sa paningin niya ay mas lumapad pa ang ngisi niya. She faced the window while slowly caressing her phone's screen.
"I failed triggering your trauma, Trigger. Should I start with your allergies?" she whispered on the thin air while smirking devilishly.
Her husband is allergic to cayenne powder, and that would be an epic scene.
She knew from the start that her plans are beyond the line. But Trigger even gave her nightmares and traumas. Kaya simple lang naman siguro ang paggamit ng kahinaan ng lalaki laban dito.
It's nothing compare to her sufferings.
"You won't even die from that allergy. Just a temporary pain," muli niyang dagdag habang nakangiti pa rin nang matamis.
Mabilis na bumaling ang babae sa hagdan nang makita ang pagbaba ng asawa niya roon. He's now wearing a polo shirt and a beach trunk. He looks awesome and handsome, as always.
But people would really praise someone like a god, without them knowing the real colors of that person.
In her husband's case, Trigger will surely get everyone's attention because of his looks. But he's a demon, hiding inside an angel's body.
Miracle immediately made her face soften when Trigger went closer.
"I'm sorry if I let you wait, my secretary called. Business matters that I don't give a fuck. But I'm all good now, what do you want to do?"
She smiled sweetly. "I want to eat first. 'Diba sabi ko sa 'yo kanina nagugutom ako? Kumain muna tayo bago tayo maglibot dito sa beach."
He chuckled softly before kissing her forehead. "Alright, boss. I ordered for some food you love, it's gonna be here in a minute."
"Nagpaluto rin ako kay manang ng pagkain. Akala ko kasi matagal pa darating 'yung in-order mo," malambing niyang sabi.
Trigger just kissed her cheeks. "It's okay, baby. Let's eat that too."
MIRACLE'S eyes were focused on the different kinds of food on the dining table. Sinubukan nilang yayain na sumabay na sa pagkain ang katiwala ng bahay pero tumanggi lang ito.
She just stared at her husband who's currently serving her.
"Trigger, tikman natin 'yung luto ni manang. I'm sure it would be good," she insisted completely ignoring the other dishes.
Trigger stared at her. "Baby, I'm actually not a fan of crabs. Gusto mo bang subuan kita? You can eat it, I'll take care of the shells for you--"
"Trigger, please. Gusto kong i-try mo rin. Kaya nga tayo nandito sa Cebu para sumubok ng mga bago 'diba?" pangungulit niya at bahagya pang hinatak ang suot suot nitong polo.
She needs to make Trigger eat that food, he's allergic to cayenne and everything will go well according to the plan.
Alam niyang pagkatapos nilang kumain ay maglilibot sila sa buong isla. It would be fun to witness how will Trigger withdraw their plans. Sa gano'ng paraan, she can make a show and pretend to be mad at him.
Trigger will never be at ease when she's not around. His trauma will attack him again and that's exactly what she wants.
To witness him in pain.
But she's not that heartless, she just wanted to see a glimpse of that scene. Hindi niya naman hahayaang mamatay ito nang gano'n gano'n lang.
Nakita niyang lumambot ang ekspresyon ng asawa nang makita ang pangungumbinsi niya. Sa huli ay umupo na ito sa tabi niya at pinaghimay siya ng mga karne ng alimango.
The corner of her lips curved as she watched Trigger eat the dish with her.
Hindi na natuon ang atensyon niya sa sarap ng pagkain. Puro plano na lang ang tumatakbo sa utak niya.
