Chapter 2: Pain starts it all

Feeling no pain and feeling relaxed for the first time, Zoe feels as if she was floating in what they'd call heaven

'Is this what death feels like? It sure feels nice. Wish I'd died earlier'

Realising she shouldn't be thinking or actually feeling anything when one is dead, her thoughts instantly pointed to the fact that she must've still been alive.

'Why? I bit my tongue. I felt myself dying.'

"Her heart rate is going down sir!"

"We need to get emergency treatment soon!"

Voices being heard, Zoe felt strange, 'I'm not dead? Why? If I'm not dead. Where am I?'

"Forget it, I have my daughter now, just let that woman die."

A vulgar language person with a deep voice spoke making Zoe flinch abit in fear. 'Who?'

Suddenly what felt like a arm wrapped itself about her. 

'If I can feel, it seems I'm alive, but why can't I see?'

Slowly, she started to see light, her visions as blurry at first, but soon she could see clearly. She was in a place that looked like a.....hospital? 

'Why am I in a hospital? Why can't I move? Was I rescued?'

She was then looking at a man with a clean shaved face, a handsome man with a cold glaze, the man that was the one with his arms wrapped around her

"You have my eyes. You'll be powerful. You'll be named Janet Clark."

'Janet Clark? Wait, named? Was I reborn? Why? How?'

Questions ran through her mind like crazy.

"Send her to John's, he'll get her the tattoo."

'Tattoo?'

Completely confused in the situation she's in, she started to scream, and as a baby, the scream was high pitched.

"Sir, the young Miss is-"

"Janet. Quiet." With those words Zoe...No....Janet went quiet. Those words were chilling and terrifying. Janet could feel the person holding her right now shivering.

"Get going." The man says.

"Yes sir." The woman holding me started walking away and finally started calming down.

"Your father is a cruel man Young Miss. I hope you live well. Remember, your fathers name is George Clark while yours in Janet Clark."

Hearing the two names, she started to breath hard, it was too much of a coincident. 

'I...I couldn't have just reincarnated into a novel. could I've?

"John, the young miss is here."

"Bring her in May" The ladies name was May apparently. May put Janet on a table and weirdly stretched her left are to the side.

"John...Be carful."

"I'll try."

A sudden pain ran through young Janets body. A needle was piercing into her left upper arm.

"WHAAAAAA!" Janet started crying loudly.

"John! Softer!"

"I can't, this is as soft as I can possibly do it."

'What are these people doing to me?'

10 minutes later, The buzzing noise was gone and the pain disappeared soon, but Janets eyes were stinging from the tears.
