Modern Class
Jackie Webber Wows

This past weekend Jaclyn Webber and boyfriend Prince William were spotted attending a wedding in Paris. Two of Webber's close friends she performed with while working with the Paris Opera Ballet tied the knot. Sadly, not the wedding news we've been waiting for, but the royal couple did not disappoint.

Webber stepped out of the car, and from the pictures our breath hitched. It was like watching the glamorous Princess Grace, or the beautiful Princess Diana. Witnesses say William and Jackie hardly spent time apart as soon as they saw each other. Debunking the rumors that started the night before that the couple had split.

The prince was spotted at a rugby match, and it had appeared he was rather wrapped up with Kate Middleton. A girl from university who William briefly dated, and is now with his long childhood friend Charles Howard the current Earl of Arundel and future Duke of Norfolk.

Witnesses from the match have come forward and said that the pictures were misleading, and that Howard was there himself beside Middleton.

This wedding, though not Webber's official big day, is a big win for her. Since their official get together Webber has had fashion ups and downs, and often been the object of ridicule for wearing the same things over and over. And just weeks after William's friends were claiming her to be a "classless yank" she shows us what the future looks like while being a perfect image of the past.

February 19, 2007

In the days that passed from the wedding to opening night Jaclyn had been swamped with Copelia rehearsals. Struggling to keep her head above everything that needed to be done. For the second week now she had lto cancel her lesson with Lady Mountbatten, and reschedule her visit to the children's hospital for another night.

But by the end of the week opening night couldn't have gone better.

Being Swanhilda gave her such freedom. To the point that she was still floating when she made her way to the house lobby, still done up like a dame dancer. There were Lords, and Sirs, and Ladies all around her, all of which she had to know by name and greet properly. That was if they dared speak to her first. No, most nights people nodded in acknowledgment or they exchanged brief greetings, but that was the extent.

So she found herself wrapped up with the children. All who would escape their parents and run to gush about her.

The adults stared, noses turned up whispering about how childish she was, but it was special. Jaclyn remembered being the little girl with dreams, and going home happy when the older girls paid her even the slightest bit of attention. So she showered every child that she saw with love and smiles.

"I wanna be just like you!" One little girl gushed, watching with wide eyes as Jaclyn signed her miniature poster. The post show lobby was bustling with activity as always. Dancers reuniting with their families, aristocrats rushing to push in front of the crowd, and the small crowd of kids that gathered at her feet.

She sat, the tutu she wore pooling out around her. The small children all fiddling with her pointe shoes as if they were decorated with diamonds.

"If you work hard you will be, I promise." And at that moment in their eyes she might as well have already been the Queen herself.

Of course the sweet moment had to come to an end.

"Jackie, darling, so nice to see you!"

Chills ran rampant over her exposed arms, and her smile faltered before the children that were hanging onto her every word. It had been awhile since this specific voice graced her ears, but it was one not easily forgotten.
