For nearly a week the Duchess of Cambridge has been locked away within the confines of St. Mary's hospital despite rising demands for the duchess to be shown to prove her survival. At first the palace was going to settle on a family photo, but when that did nothing Jaclyn took to social media and released a personal statement.

Slowly the vicious crowds in the streets of London have receded at last giving all of us peace. There is no denying the fact that Jackie is loved, especially after this very public display, she is personable, kind, and down to earth. Everything a country should want in a future queen.

And yet something about all this rubs me the wrong way. While Jaclyn was willing to silently languish away without any attempt to calm the public, as is her job as a public figure, other royals have been thrown to the wolves. Most notably Meghan Markle, the newly minted Duchess of Sussex.

Meghan who was out with the Queen recently has been endlessly ridiculed for entering the car first, an honor that we are all just learning about now. The ridicule doesn't stop there journalists are relentless in their attempts to tear Meghan down for her fashion choices, her shoes, her nail polish.

The cherry on top is that they compare her constantly to their cookie cutter perfect duchess. The one who's been absent for months. BBC broadcaster Piers Morgan wants to say Meghan is privileged in her new life, and that bad press comes with the deal.

Well, let's talk privilege. Privilege is getting to stay at home for months on end because you have no real job when there are women out there who lose their jobs for just asking. It's getting to stay in the hospital for days on end when most women are released within hours.

Everyone has been raging at the palace for not protecting Jaclyn, comparing her to Diana, when this cannot be further from the truth. Jaclyn aims to please, like a well-trained dog she will sit and speak when told, and because of this the palace will forever protect her.

Jaclyn receives her release the same day Lillie is taken off her feeding tube, a week after Mia's recital, a week after she first stepped in. She loves spending her days in the nursery with Lillie and Alexander changing their diapers and cleaning them. Slowly her and William have even allowed Mia and PJ to help.

"I love them," Mia coos everyday she skips into the NICU after ballet.

"And they love you," William always responds trailing after her. Sometimes he'll hold her up so she can see in through the plastic top. Other times Jaclyn will be changing a diaper and Mia will patiently wait for her to place whichever baby it is in her arms.
