STILL LUKES P.O.V.
"Luke, I just don't know if I can, I just don't know what the deal with Brent and I are." "But he won't even know. And if he-" "when he," "when he comes back, if you and him are still together, you and I will be done." "I just don't know." "Mia, if this is because of Brent, don't make it be because of him. Last time you guys talked were you guys dating or no?" "Well no. He said that we should take a break."

"Well than you guys aren't dating right now, I mean obviously he doesn't want you guys to right now." "Well I think he'll be really mad if I go and date someone else behind his back. Wouldn't you be mad if your whatever Brent and I are, went behind your back while you were in a coma?"

"Well, I kind of would. I mean it's hard to put myself in that position."

"Well I just don't know."

"Mia, just answer the question the way you want to. I gave you the option of when he wakes up, if he says you to are dating, you and I will not date anymore."

"Okay. I guess that's a pretty good idea. So I'll date you."

We showed up at my house. I changed into a swimming suit that would match hers. I told her to wait in the car. I came out with a beach bag full of sun screen, snacks, and more stuff like that.

When we got to the beach, I helped her with her bag. I tried to intertwine our fingers but she pulled back. "Easy there, we just started dating."

We walked up to an open spot. There were a lot of many cute guys there. I hoped Mia didn't think so.

"Do you want to leave?" I asked her. "Uh no, we just got here. Why?" "Just wondering." "No. You weren't 'just wondering' tell me what you were thinking." "Okay. There are many cute guys here. I didn't want you to be cheating on me."

Just then, my alarm clock went off. Wait! This was all just a dream! But hey, best dream ever. I prayed to God that it would all come true soon. I texted Mia.

I must have fallen asleep when I got home.

Luke: hey Mia wanna hang today?

Mia: can't sorry. They are doing tests on Brent all day.

Luke: until what time?

Mia: well they are doing tests until 4 but I want to be here when we get back the results.

Luke: can we maybe hang after that?

Mia: Luke I realize you want to hang out. But I just can't do this right now. It's too much stress on me because of Brent. Sorry.

Luke: it's fine. Just text me when you have time for me.

Mia: okay. Sorry again.

Luke: it's fine.

Why couldn't she be back to reality and realize that Brent probably wouldn't make it. Then I remembered that my dad had talked about being his doctor. Maybe he could put something in Brent's IV to make him die.

I went downstairs to talk to my dad. "Hey dad. Is it possible to put a medicine in someone's IV do make them die?"

"Uh.....yes.....why?" "Because there is this girl I like.... A lot. And her boyfriend, the patient you always talk about." "I would have to have her sign the papers to let me do that to him." "Gosh dang it dad! Why can't you just help me out? I thought you always wanted me to find someone besides Jessica." "I do. But I don't want you to get her this way."

"Dad! Why can't you just help me out!" "I can lose my job from this son." "If you lose your job, I'll go out and get a job, and I'll make sure we have enough to pay the bills." "Alright. I'll see what I can do. But just remember that this is illegal and we could both go to jail for this."

"Thank you so much dad!" Know, I'll have Mia all to myself. "Oh and dad, what room is he in?"

"Room 4012." "Thank you!"

I knew at that moment I was going to get Mia all to myself.

I got in my car. I haven't eaten anything yet so I stop at McDonalds.

When I leave McDonalds, I go to the hospital. I go to the elevator, I push the button number 4, that will take me to the 4th floor. I use elevators a lot, since my dad works here.

When I get to the room, Mia was in there with another guy. Who was this guy? I wondered. But there was no Brent. He must still be in testing.

"Uh, hi Luke." Mia said. She didn't sound to happy.

"Hi. How is he doing?" I asked trying to sound like I cared. "He's doing really well." Mia said sounding really happy.

I was happy for her, but that wouldn't last long. "That's good." I said trying to sound excited for her. "Hi, I'm Nick." The other dude said. "Hey, I'm Luke." I said, offering my hand. He shook it.

"So when are they going to be done with Brent's testing?" "They said since he's doing really well he won't have to go through all of them. Just the ones that are most important."

"Well that's really good. Who is his doctor again?" "Um I don't really know his name." "Oh. Okay. I think it's my dad though." "Oh. That's cool." "Yep." Just watch out tonight sweetheart cause when my dads working, and you wake up, your precious boyfriend won't.
