Chapter 25

Mia's P.O.V.
"So what are you doing here?" I asked Luke. Trying to figure out what he might be up to.

"I came here to see you, Mia." He did? Really! Why? I mean yeah I'm excited he cares about me. But I'm not ready to be part of the relationship he wants us to be in. That is if he wants to be in one. I'm pretty sure he does though.

Then I remembered, I haven't said anything back to him. "Why did you do that Luke?" "Mia, can we talk in the hall?"

I'm hesitant at first, but Nick is right inside so I figure he's got my back if I need him. I follow Luke outside the room. "So Mia, I realize I don't really know you," "I know." "But I'm starting to like you Mia." "How can you like me? You barely know me." "I realize this, but I want that to change." I felt like a 1,000 pound weight just landed on me. Did he mean that he wanted go be more than friends? I felt like asking. I started to but then something pulled me back.

I started to feel dizzy. All this pressure on me. He doesn't even barely know me. Before I knew it I felt a pain in my head.

Smack!

I woke up in the hospital all of the sudden. I don't remember anything. I look over. No one is there. Not even Luke. It felt weird saying his name. I don't like saying it. He's kind of creepy.

I push my nurse button so she'll come in and maybe tell me what happened. She comes in. "Hi, what would you like dear?" She is one of those nice nurses. "What happened to me?" I ask my voice craggy. "Well you passed out when you were visiting someone, maybe a relative?" "Well he's my boyfriend. Or at least he was before he was in the coma."

"Oh. I see dear. Pare you asking me for advice or something?" She asks. I kind of need the advice.

"Sure. If you want to." "Well what happened before he was in his wreck?" "Well his ex came and she said they were trying to work things out, but he never dated her and it's just really confusing." "Oh. I see. You know love can be really confusing dear." She said.

"I know it can." "Would you like me to check up on him and see about how long the doctors think until he wakes up." "Okay thank you. And how long until I can get out?" "You can just go ahead." "Really?" "Yeah. I'm the supervisor in this department." "Okay. Thank you!"

I changed into my clothes and went up to Brent's room. The doctor was in there when I got there. "Hi, are you Mia?" He asked he is a new doctor, I don't recognize him. "Yes. Why?" "Well I'm his new doctor. His other doctor tried to kill him through his IV." What!? Who could do such a thing?!

"Who would do that?" "Well the doctor did. His son was up here earlier." "Nick?" "No. I believe his sons name is Luke." LUKE! He did this? "Wait why would he d-" I couldn't get out the last words before I knew why he would do this.

He wants me all to himself. Wow. I texted him.

Mia: Luke. We need to talk. Meet me at the gas station.

I knew he would know which one because we only have one in our little town.

Luke: sure. About what?

Mia: you'll find out when we get there.

Luke: okay. Is something wrong?

I think he kind of knows that Brent is (supposed to be) dead so he is trying to care for me.

Mia: Nope. Everything is great.

Luke: okay. See you soon :-)

Mia: yeah.

I drove to the gas station. He was already there. He lives close to there.

"Hi Mia. Are you okay from that fall?"

"Yeah. So let's talk about your dad and Brent." I gave him a disgusting glare.

He looked guilty. "Wait what?" "You know what I'm talking about. Don't lie to me!" I started to scream at him.

"Okay. I sent my dad to kill him." "Why!?" I said screaming really loud.

"Because I wanted you all to myself." I walked away, I was so disgusted at Luke.

"Mia! Wait!" He tried screaming after me. But I wasn't going to turn around. I was in to much disgust.

I turned around as I got in my car. "Don't you ever talk to me again!" I said in an evil voice.

He looked at me in disappointment, sadness, and most of all, anger.

I looked back at him in disgust. Why, how could he do that to me? I got in and drove off to the hospital to visit Brent.

Hopefully he is doing okay and will wake up soon.

I got there, up to his room, I walked in.

Brent's eyes were open...
