Once everyone arrived back to base, you avoid interacting with anyone else. Nobara was still in the hospital meaning it was just you and Megumi at the dorms. You reach out to turn the doorknob to your room open and pause, "I'll be in my room if you need me." You tell the boy before walking inside and closing the door behind you.

Megumi quietly walks towards your door leaning his ear against the door. He heard you let out a sigh and silent cries erupt from the other side. It was already dark out so he decided to leave you alone for the night. He doesn't know how it feels to lose someone he cares so much about. Though, he is sort of experiencing that right now with his older sister.

He walks back to his room getting in his bed. He stares at the ceiling above him thinking that he could've done so much more to prevent Yuuji from dying so soon.

The next morning, you were still in your room. You didn't want anybody to question you or come in contact with anyone. All you did was lay in your bed hugging your pillow, and sobbing into it to quiet down your muffled cries.

You got no sleep whatsoever. Your thoughts kept you up all night reminiscing Yuuji's smile and laugh...hell even his hugs. Spotting your phone on the table next to your bed, you grab it. Wiping away the tears from your eyes you tap on your grandmother's contact and call her. You waited and waited but she never answered. You ring her again for the second time. Still no answer.

Have waited long enough you quickly rush out of bed, slipping on your shoes. You open the door to your dorm room and step out. For the first time in less than forty eight hours, you finally leave the room you isolated yourself in.

"Please don't bump into someone. Please don't bump into someone." You frantically mutter under your breath. Hoping that nobody sees you in such a weak state. Carefully making sure nobody was around, you make your wait to the exit.

You breathe in and exhale slowly, preparing yourself to open the doors. Your hands reach out to push the double doors. The bright sky blinded your eyes for staying in your room all day. You squint your eyes as they try to adjust to the outside.

Once you step foot out of the building, you are met with Megumi and Nobara's backs facing you. They were sitting down on the steps, talking to what seemed was Maki, Inumaki, and Panda.

The faint sound of a door closing behind them makes everyone look up or turn around. You swallow the lump that was forming in your throat. Everyone stares at you.

You slowly begin to walk down the steps and as you do Maki stops in front of you. She pulls you in for a hug. "You'll be okay. Everything will get better." She pats your back, soothing you gently. You fight your tears that were forming in your eyes.

Before you could pull away from the hug, you feel someone's chest pressed up against your back. They wrap their arms around you and Maki. You catch a glimpse of their orange hair, it was Nobara. She stops you from saying anything else as she hugs you tighter.

"Thank you..." You croaked softly.

The girls let go of you. "Where you heading?" Maki asks, changing the topic to release sad tension.

"Oh, I was on my way to my grandma's," You reply and hold up your phone. "She's not picking up her cell."

"Want us to go? We can keep you company!" Nobara questions in hopes of attempting to make you feel better.

You shake your head, "No it's fine, I'll go alone." You wave the rest of the group goodbye as you walk away. Once you were far enough, Megumi couldn't help but sense something bad was about to happen.

You frantically knock on the door. You huff as you realize she wasn't going to let you in. Your eyes scan the area, landing on the flower pot that was adorned out front. Kneeling down to its level you grab the key that was hidden underneath the pot.

"Hope she doesn't think I'm some murderer robbing the house." You think out loud, unlocking the door. You open it wider, "Granny?"

"Seinaaaaaa, where you at granny Seina!" You call out jokingly. "I know how much you hate it when I call you by your first name." Your eyes glance around the living room, the tv was left on. A shadow figure was laying down on the couch. You smile softly.

"No wonder she wasn't answering." Your grandma's cellphone was left on silent and set aside on the coffee table. You glance down at her sleeping form, "Hopefully you're not dead." You laugh, waiting for her to scold you.

(okay, changing to third person bc im getting kinda tired doing 2nd pov)

The older woman didn't respond. "You can laugh now, granny." Y/n nudges her grandmother's arm. Patiently waiting for her grandma for some sort of reaction, anything. She kneels down next to her, grabbing her wrist to check her pulse.

When she felt there was no beat, she let go of her hand. Y/n sits back taking it in all at once. "No..." She whispers in shock, "Not you too, grandma..." Tears began to pool her eyes as she lays her head on her grandmother's chest, interlocking her hands with hers. "You're my only family left, please don't leave me here alone." She cries. Her lips begin to tremble slightly.

Y/n quickly holds the knife next to her head, "What are you doing here?" She demanded noticing the presence and the immense amount of cursed energy. Feeling the knife tense up in her hand, she asks again. "It's not the right moment to kill me, you know?"

A chuckle left the unknown presence's lips. "Oh, but it's the perfect time. The old hag is finally dead. Now its your turn, little sister..."
