killjoy has been on a particularly long mission for two weeks and you can't help but worry as each day passes. she's the light of your life and if you lost her, you wouldn't even know what to do with yourself anymore. you've spent many nights worrying about her instead of sleeping even though you knew, she was a strong woman. though pushing those horrible thoughts aside, today was the day your dear is returning and let's just say, you were excited is an understatement.

you were waiting near where the airship was gonna land and couldn't wait. the door opened and you waited as two agents walked out first, sage and reyna. 'killjoy shouldn't be hurt otherwise sage would be treating her.' you waited a few more minutes that felt like hours to you and then there she was, in her stupid bright yellow jacket and green beanie. you quickly ran towards her as soon as she got off bridge and hugged her.

she was a bit shocked to see you already here expecting you to be waiting inside. "hello dear miss me much ?" she chuckled and you just hugged her tighter. you looked up at her "are you ok ? did you get hurt ? if you got hurt i'm gonna go kill that fucking kingdom !" you barked, she just laughed at how worried you were. "stop laughing i was worried sick," you scoffed at her. " ah [y/n] mein schatz you're adorable. i'm okay you don't need to worry any longer."

"let's go in ja ?" you groaned but let go of her and started walking. "darling were you worrying about me this whole time ?" she asked with a slightly teasing tone "mm maybe" you laughed out nervously and she stopped walking. you asked with a tilted head, "is something wrong ?" and then she suddenly hugs you, "mein gott, liebling you're so adorable i love you so much. you don't have to worry about me i'll always return to you."

you hugged back and buried your face into her chest as she was too tall for you to reach her neck "killjoy you say i'm adorable yet here you are acting like this, i'm always gonna worry for you no matter what you tell me. you're too precious to me and even the thought of losing you makes me sad." she gave you a light smile, "i understand, when you go out in missions without me i worry much for you too. i know you're more than capable at defending yourself but you're also precious to me." killjoy hugged you tighter "you've brought me so much joy nobody else could've ever, loosing you is the equivalent of me leaving the protocol. i'd loose something valuable and something that makes me, me." killjoy started to tear up

"don't cry liebe, it makes me sad. how about we cuddle tonight in your quarters ? i wanna be back in your arms again." you suggested "you can tell me how you feel, how the mission went, anything you want." killjoy smiles, "gosh you really know how to make me happy. this is why i love you so much mein schatz." and she started to pepper you wish kisses. "i'll see you their then" you let go and smiled at her "i must go file more combat reports. feel free to visit me in my office ok ?" she nodded and whispered something as you were walking off.
