I waited in here, for Kev. If I weren't there, we would've lost his gem. I shouldn't have listened to him and helped him in his fight...

I heard the door closing, now we were only separated by just one wall. "Sorry, I'm late again."

"It's fine. More importantly, are you okay?"

"I'm great," his voice certainly didn't sound great. "I lost my gems."

"I know," I took them out of my bag and handed them up. He grabbed his gems through the small gap above the wall.

"Thanks..."

"I would say 'be careful next time', but no. We tried your strategy, now it's time for mine."

"N-no! Ernman could stop time, you know? He hits hard when he does so. I can't let you get hurt..."

"I'll be fine. Your ability might give you durability, and mine doesn't. However, I have more brains than you."

He laughed and I saw his hand above the wall. I reached up to hold it, his hand was much bigger than mine. It had everything I needed to feel at peace.

"What do you plan?"

"I'm not sure... I think I can win if they aren't close to me. Just like how Adrin was when he was fighting you."

"He doesn't have to be close to you. Once the time is stopped, even if you're miles away, he can land you a few kicks."

"I didn't mean close like that... My plan never included violence."

"I tried asking him nicely, you heard me too, right? He didn't give it to me!"

"I'm not talking about being nice, Kev... I'm talking about being sneaky."

"Oh... I see," he suddenly sounded excited. "You definitely could take his gem without him noticing anything!"

"Yeah! By the way, why didn't you take his necklace when you had him cornered?! If you weren't such a prideful idiot, we would already be stopping time by now!"

"Oh, so it's my fault now?! Weren't you the one going 'nawh, it's wrong to steal'? What changed now, miss all-too-virtuous?!"

We both giggled when he pointed the change in me. But he was right, I always try to be nice to others, but now I was scolding him for not stealing it when he had the chance. Maybe Adrin needs the gem as much as we do, I know that he doesn't really have a great life, and we were being selfish. Love can really make people do things they never imagined.

"So, dear, will you be my valentine?"

Rooftop

Friday - 14th of February

It's Valentine's Day, not that it means anything to me. It doesn't mean anything to Liz either, but she was jumpy and excited for some reason.

"Oh my gosh! What should we do? Let's go to the movies, make a promise for tonight, let's go drink coffee, let's go to the woods! Oh my gosh, the woods is what we need after a long semester!"

"Please... You know I don't like Valentine's Day..."

"Hmph! You're such an old man sometimes, ya know!"

"And you're such a little kid sometimes."

We left the gym together. I was yelled at because I didn't take the class seriously, and I was tired already because of the day before; because of Kevin. I'm not used to moving that much, so it had quite the impact on me. I only move my fingers to paint and my legs to walk, that's basically it.
